Thanks for the info, it's pretty valuable, I will definitely choose a different office; I don't need that kind of experience.

I was referred to Dr. Lucido by a friend who has been his patient for many years. I was in so much pain and had gone to several orthopedists, and podiatrists over the years and could not get any of them to relieve the pain.

I found Dr. Lucido to be very informative and he suggested stretching exercises for me and also orthotics. Unlike the claims in the other copmplaints about him I was given time to consider the orthotics. My insurance company does not pay for them at all. After research, I chose to go back to Dr. Lucido's office and get the orthotics. This was a process. They used a device that I had to walk over several times to get the impression of my foot. This is then transmitted over the internet I believe to the lab who makes the orthotics. I also had to sign a paper saying I would pay 1/2 the cost that day and the other 1/2 when I picked them up. Not one person forced me to do any of this.

I really don't see how anyone could claim they were forced to get orthotics. If you're a grown person, you're able to decide what you want to do. If you are confused about anything the doctor may have said, the paper is extremely clear when it says You will have to pay for the orthotics. So again, these claims against my doctor are doubtfully true. If you didn't want them why did you walk on that thing they use? Why didn't you just say, "No, I don't want them".

I am very happy with the treatment I got from Dr. Lucido and his staff. All were very pleasant, and very professional. (To view them as bullies who force patients to buy things, is quite funny. SO far from the truth.) I am happy to say I am pain free because of Dr. Lucido's treatment and due to the orthotics. I would recommend him to anyone. However, the wait time in his office can be a bit much at times. But.....I guess that's because he's such a great doctor.

So, to those complaining about orthotics. It seems apparent. These are people who just don't want to pay for anything. If it's not free, they don't want them. It's one thing not to pay your bill, that's bad enough. To trash a doctor and lable him a thief because of it, is another. You are the one the government should look at. You seem to be the liar here. It's a shame things like this go on and people can be so viscious.
