On 06-14-2012, i bought a used 2000 Audi. i found the car lot on-line, and went to test drive the car, when i went to test drive the vehicle, the co-owner had to jump start the battery, he copied my license and asked for my phone number and said he would call if i was to long, i drove for about 15 minutes and didn't go over 40mph, nor did i drive on the highway.  so when i got back he started the paperwork, he did not show me the car fax, he told me the owner of the dealership owned this car and put it on the lot when he bought a new car. Then i had to come back to give rest of payment. He said he put a new battery in, also asked to lower the price because the windshield was cracked and all he said was he ordered a windshield but was back ordered so they never fixed it so there was nothing he could do. So after the papers were signed i got the keys and the vehicle started while i put it in drive it jerked forward but i thought it was me, so i was driving home and on my way the car started to drive as if the rpms were increasing and engine getting louder and started smoking so i had to pull over, i had the car for about an hour and already had problems. i had my friend call the dealership and the co-owner said to bring it back in the morning.

When i got there in the morning with the car, i asked to refund my money and he said "this isn't walmart" and i also asked to trade cars, he wouldn't do that either. i don't know why he said to bring it back then. he kept walking away to other people instead of resolving the issue.

i took to a mechanic shop and seen there was a transmission fluid leak down the whole center of car. also took to the car Goodyear and they found 10 other issues, one of which the air bags were disengaged and that's a federal offense, against the law. so went back to dealership to tell him that is was against the law to sell me the car and all he said was to take him to court, didn't look me in the face, very rude. To conclude my experience i would never suggest looking at any of the cars on the lot, they all have worn off paint and scruffs, if you want a reliable car don't come here, there will always be a better car at a better carlot with a more reasonable seller. i paid $4000 for this car still owe $600 but i put all my money into this car and im 19, now im left with a broken car and no way to get around. i feel used because it was my first time buying a car and people are like this, i never want to shop for cars again, I'm really hurt, still have no way to get to work,  i couldnt get to my job without a car again.

Vehicle Purchase

AUTHOR: Jeffrey's Auto Exchange - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, July 21, 2016

I appreciate your comments.  We are sorry that you had problems with your vehicle.  We do sell used vehicles and encourage folks to have their mechanic check out the vehicle before they purchase.  We also offer warranty protection if the customer chooses.  We did put a new battery in for the customer.   We do everything in our power to help the customer and we want to provide them with a good used vehicle.  Again, we are sorry you had a bad experiance.   Thank you
