I was lured into a scam on Facebook by an ad from a company that promised a free trial of a wrinkle cream (Allusiv) for $4.95. I was further offered another eye wrinkle cream trial for $5.95.  I received the trial products and then had to leave town for three months on a job.

When I came home, I discovered that 3 more jars of each product had been shipped to me.

Alarmed, I checked my bank statement and noticed that I had been systematically charged 85.95 and 89.95 for each month that I had been gone!

I immediately called the company and told them that I had not authorized these purchases. They told me that I had agreed to try the product and then agree to an automatic shipment. I denied this and asked for a refund. They refused and hung up on me. I found the number of the company by looking at my bank account.  Interestingly, they had a different company name AND a different phone number depending if you were calling about the eye wrinkle cream charge OR the face wrinkle cream.

The call response was the same for each product.  First, when I called, I was put on hold for a long time with the same background music for each call. Then the wait was interrupted with a voice telling me that I could continue to wait or they would call me back. (I continuted to wait). Finally a person answered and the response to my request for an RMA number in order to return the product and then to get my money back was the same.  First, the person tried a shaming routine asking me sarcastically if I had read the contract. Next, the person asked why I didn't return the $4.95 trial if I didn't like the product. Then the person attempted to get me to admit that the product really worked. After all that failed, and they told me that they would not refund my money and the argument continued, they hung up on me.

It was strange how the setup was EXACTLY the same - proabably same boiler room etc.

What I can't figure out is why there are two company names.

JEJGIVN*BEAUTYTRANSFO and BEAUTYFOCSED

I immediately went to my bank branch (Chase), where they filed a fraud report and reversed the charges until the scam was investigated.

I just found out that the fraud team at the bank ruled against me because the transactions had gone on for 3 months.

I am now out $528.

I went back on Facebook and discovered that there are many many women who have been scammed by this company and it appears that many more will be scammed until they are stopped.
