The purpose of this letter is to document a serious problem I have with your local Polaris Victory Motorcycle Dealer.

My local Polaris Dealer is Jerry Wohlrab, Prescott Valley Motorcycles, 6500 E. Hwy. 69, Prescott Valley, AZ, telephone 928-772-4266. Mr Wohlrabe has refused to service my Victory Kingpin in the past and is now refusing to comply with The Polaris Safety Recall for Possible Faulty Weld on the Shift Lever Shaft. I don't think this is in the tradition of Polaris Industries, Inc. and does not support their reputation for a fine product(s), Customer Support and timely correction of problems.

I received this Safety Recall Notice 08-14-2006. My bike is a 2005, Polaris, Victory, KingPin. VIN is 5VPCB16D853005879.

The notice states that the corrective work must be performed by an authorized Victory motorcycle dealer. My local dealer is Jerry Wohlrab, Prescott Valley Motorcycles. The closest out-of-town dealers are over 100 miles away. Polaris has also noted "DO NOT OPERATE YOUR MOTORCYCLE UNTIL ALL REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED". So; unless I want to pay $250.00 to $400.00 to have my motorcycle trucked to the out-of-town dealer, plus the inconvenience and expense of my travel to the dealer to ride the bike home, I'm stuck with Jerry Wohlrab, Prescott Valley Motorcycles, 6500 E. Hwy. 69, Prescott Valley, AZ, .

Since the corrective work will be at no cost to me I will not be concerned about Jerry Wohlrabe's past business/customer relations problems with me and others and his attempts to overcharge for work not performed or incorrectly performed. However; I do want to witness all the actual work on this bike so I can be assured that it is performed correctly.

If the requirements of this Safety Recall are not properly complied with by Jerry Wohlrab, Prescott Valley Motorcycles, 6500 E. Hwy. 69, Prescott Valley, AZ, and I experience a directly related accident I will hold Polaris Ind. Inc., Prescott Valley Motorcycles and Jerry Wohlrabe directly liable for any damage or personal injury which might result.

I don't think this individual realizes the liability he is accepting by refusing to comply with a SAFETY RECALL DIRECTIVE.

I suggest you avoid all contact with him and his staff and limit any business transactions if possible.
