Dear Yossi, I just wanted to put in writing what I feeling at this time about our above mention move using Jet Movers.

It all started on 7/29/02 talking with Sharon who worked for Jet Movers at the time (my understanding is she is no longer there), we went over my move from Tampa to Houston several times. I gave her a list of items that we were to have moved. I also provide to her a list of these items via email. After holding for a while she gave me an Estimate of 482 Cubic Ft. @ $ 3. 20. My total estimate for the move was 1310.70.

She explained to me that to book this, I would need to send in 200.00 deposits to book the move date. On the day of the move I would need to pay 60% of the BAL. Being 1110.70 which = $666.42. I would be required to pay the Bal. On Delivery to Houston. (444.28).

I asked Sharon if there was any special things that I needed to know, her answer was no. That Jet movers would take care of everything, all we need to do was pack the boxes.

After several calls from her during the time I sent Jet Movers a Money Order on 8/19/02. She would call me just about every other day looking for the Money order. After about a week she wanted me to track the money order. So I gave it another two days. After that she said that her boss (I guess that would be you) wanted a deposit because he could not hold that date open without it. She wanted a M/C or Visa but I wanted to pay by AE. After taking with her boss Jet movers took the AE Card for a 200.00 deposit. That was the last time that I heard from her. I tried to call and talk to her but I just got that she want in. on the day before the move a young man called me to trying to change my move date to 9/5/2002. I told him that I would be willing to cancel the move, but he didn't want to do that. So I called him back and we worked out the move date to be the 9/4/2002. I also told him at the time that my girlfriend had a 2:00 pm Flight that day. No problem was the answer. I also asked if I could speak with Sharon but once again, I got she's not in.

The Move Day: 9/4/2002

My Girlfriend was there for the Move that morning. Kobie was your Company Rep. and did all of the Calculations for Jet Movers. During the movie got a call form my Girl friend and she was crying. She told me what was happen there and I called you at once and relayed the information that was going on there. At that time asked you the name of your Rep. that was handling the move out there and you told me Kobie. That's how I got the name of Kobie was from you. She was Upset that she was being charged and extra 780.00 dollars. She was getting ready to leave to go to the airport and Kobie told her that she would have to pay half of the Balance. She gave Kobie a check for $945.50 half of the Balance. After talking with you Yossi, you said we would see when the paper work came back into your office there. I called you the next morning to talk about it, you told me that the truck broke down in Tampa and was in the shop being fixed and you expected it that evening. I called the next day and you said it hadn't made it but you faxed over to me a fax dated September 4, 2002 time: stamped 3:01 PM, you faxed me the Bill of Lading and Freight Bill, Your company Packing schedule and rate sheet. I see all of these extra charges for things that should be part of the move and was not even told to use by Sharon. I asked several time and nothing. What even more concerning to me is that I email Sharon and Item List of all of our things that we were moving. That's how you came you with the 482 cf. You would think that if something on that list needed special handling, at the time of contracting with a person you would surely make them a where of it, right?? All of these requirements that you told me after the move you knew before the move and should have shared it with us. If you truly want to have happy customers, you would tell them this upfront. There was plenty of time and you had the Item list. Seems to me that Jet movers were out to take us for extras, right from the start.

To my girlfriend surprise, and me the total had Changed to 2523.00. Now I know you and I have been talking about this matter. Here's what really bugs me. As you and I both know, you do require a 60% payment at pick up and the balance on delivery. Now with that said, Kobie took 945.50 at that is half of the balance that was worked out the day of the move. If you would look at what she paid Kobie and the things that they talked about at 50% of the balance paid at the time of pick-up, the total extras would have been 780.00 Dollars as to what they agreed to at the time of the move. Kobie told her that she needed to give him half and told her how much she needed to write the check for.

I don't know how we get from a balance of 945.50 to 1577.50. I would say that that is very very suspicious to me. Please help me understand, how you can come up with this after your Company Rep. on site took half of the balance at the time of move. Just FYI, and I'm sure you know this, at the time of the move our Balance was 1111.00. After the move and Kobie had told her what the extras were and the price 780.00, the new BALANCE was$1891.00. Kobie told her she needed to pay half of the balance hence the check for 945.50, leaving a balance of 945.50.

I will tell you that something not right here, and trying to explaining it with the paper trail that we have and as you and I both know that all moving Company's are pretty much the same when it comes to picking up and delivering, the amounts that is at the time of moves. Kobie is and was representing Jet Movers during this move. If Kobie made an error, then that's a Kobie and Jet Movers problems.

Yossie, I also realize that you do have our furniture and things, and I hope that Jet Movers do the right thing in resolving this matter.

Deja Vu

AUTHOR: Corey - (U.S.A.)

I have just spoken to my best friend who moved to Tampa earlier this month using Jet Movers. So far, she still has not received her belongings, keeps getting the runaround, and has no change of clothes (she has to keep washing the same clothes that she kept in her car over and over again). Not to mention, she was originally told $600 dollars, she's already paid them $200 and now they're telling here she owes $1300 upon delivery. If Jet movers is so on the up and up, why are the same things happening over and over again regardless of who has used you? How would you or any of your employees feel if they had no change of clothes and were starting a new job in the next three days and had been waiting for YOUR belongings for almost a month. She only moved from Miami.

General information regarding complaint.

AUTHOR: Simon - (U.S.A.)

Hi, This is Simon again. Im responding to these comments and complaints because they are correct and I want to clear them up. We do tell the client what needs packing. As a matter of fact we fax to the client a list of items that need packing and the prices it costs. We tell them that we include blankets and tape and everything above that will be extra such as tvs china cabinets and anything fragile.

We actually give them a 10% discount if they notify us before the day of the move that they need these things. We also give binding quotes not binding estimates. We will never charge you extra for items that you told us you have regardless os size or pounds. We dont ask you the weight of the items or the dimensions of the items so there is no way that we would no the cubic feet or the pounds. Thats why we give you a quote based on your list.

If you tell us that you have a secretary desk for example regardless of the size of the desk or the weight of the desk we have to take the desk but if you tell us that we have to take 10 boxes and you have 11 boxes you will pay for that extra box. Thats a change in inventory not in size. Unfortunatley there are a lot of companies that give this business a bad name but we are not one of them.

There are a lot of customers that dont read there contracts or dont listen to anything but the price which is not the way to do things. We give the customer all the oppertunity to get his/her final price over the phone but they dont want to make sure that their information is correct and thats when they get into trouble and start blaming the company for their mistakes. Be careful dont go with companies that work by pounds or cubic feet those quotes are just estimates.

Only move with companies that will take the inventory you give them for the price that they give you. Make sure you did not forget ANYTHING and dont limit yourself to visual estimates, first that means that you will only get quotes from local companies and large companies that are based somewhere else wont compete for your business and wont give you better prices from someone who is small and cant afford to travel long distances because he has nothing to comeback with and (2) even if you get a visual and the give you a "guaranteed quote" based on pounds or cubic feet they are only estimating they wont weigh or measure your stuff at the visual with a scale or a ruler.

Jet movers is NOT legit

AUTHOR: Sharon - (U.S.A.)

Jet Movers is Blacklisted for a pattern of the typical scammer behavior. Numerous complaints include lowballed estimates up front with jack-up prices demanded in cash or postal money orders at delivery, as well as increased delivery times, and damage to and loss of goods.

why don't you ask the customer.

AUTHOR: Derek - (U.S.A.)

After reading your response simon I must say I think your company is not about trying to satisfy
any of your customers.

I've worked in the moving industry in florida for the past 12 years and seen many scam companies like your give customers
low ball estimates and then go and rip them off with extra cu ft and packing charges and then always say it is because the customer didn't tell you about items or you didn't know there could have been packing at the origin.

You're the movers, you know how tv should be packed the customer doesn't know that a mover will use bubble wrap and a box to cover the screen. So why do you have your rep explain it to them. Tell them the way it needs to be wrapped so they can do it prior to picking up the items or what you charge for doing then let them decided. Along with other items like curios, items with glass ect. Or why before the supervisor on the job doesn't tell the customer when he arrives that extra packing is required and tell them up front what the cost is?the reason you don't give them the info they need to know is because you pray on the internet customer.

You prey on a person who doesn't know how thing are done. That's why companies like yours charge by the cu ft., because you know there is no way to prove the actual. The average person doesn't know how to measure the cu ft. inside the truck so you can tell them anything. Also if your company is all about customer satifaction why don'y you tell us why your company has 63 bbb reports in 36 months and 20 of them are about your sales practice. And don't tell me your company resolved them, because we all know all you have to do is write a response letter to the complant and the bbb will close the file. The reason is your company scams customer and will probly continue to do so until the dot finally steps in.

A little advice for anyone who reads this and is going to be moving. ONLY get a company that is willing to do a visual estimate. Is willing to give you a binding estimate. The qoutes may seem a little higher than these internet companies, but they are less exspensive in the end. If people need stop useing these internet predator companies.

#5 REBUTTAL Owner of company

In Response To Jet Movers Complaint

AUTHOR: Simon - (U.S.A.)

Dear Consumers.
My name is Simon Itah and I am a partner in Jet Movers Inc. I would first like to say that we are not affiliated with any other moving company such as move@once or Elite van lines. We are just Jet Movers Inc. We are not owned by 2 brothers, and we do not rip off anyone. There are a few reasons that prices may change at pick up. Ill explain briefly the process that goes into booking a job with jet movers.

We first must receive your inventory list in order to come up with the size of your move. We also ask you if there is packing that needs to be done. We include blankets and tape. We do not assume that if you have a t.v. that we would need to pack it with bubble and a box. Some customers ask us to pack it and some dont. We ask you if you need anything packed if you do you let us know and we give you a price. If you dont let us know then at the date of the move you will have an additional charge. Same thing with additional inventory items that are not on the original list of items that you sent to us. If there are additional items then there will be additional cost the day of the move.

In this customers case there were both packing that needed to be done and additional items that were not on the list. We understand that you dont know everything that you will move weeks before the move so we suggest to you that you call us a couple of days prior to the move date and update your list.

We also suggest that you tell us everything even things that you think are not worth mentioning let us decide. Tell us every detail and we shall decide what needs to be on or off. We then send you a copy to confirm that all you told us is on the contract you in return sign it and fax it back to us. That way there are no misunderstandings.

As far as getting back in contact with your sales personal that is not possible or suggested after the day of pick up. The sales person has no access to your file after the day of pick up. Thats why we have dispatchers and managers that are always available.

Our delivery schedual is mentioned to the customer prior to us taking any deposit and it is also mentioned in our contracts. We do not know more then 48 hrs. prior to your delivery when its going to be so we call you at least 48 hrs in advance prior to your del.

In closing im going to say that Jet Movers is a well respected company and we are her to offer only the best service, price and customer service to our clients with no exception. We are aware the we will not be able to satisfiy all our customers but as long as we do what our contract states and our customers have access to our contractsprior to reserving there jobs with us then we have done our part. That might not be enough to all but it usually is to most.
