We purchased a JetBlue Getaway package for travel on the Memorial Day weekend 2013. We were traveling from New York, JFK to Fort Lauderdale, FL and staying at the Fontainebleu hotel. JetBlue did not disclose that the hotel was holding an event that weekend. It was also not on the hotel's website. It made the weekend a nightmare. We were unable to use most areas of the hotel due to the event, which is not city-sanctioned. We complained many times during our stay and yet the hotel has no record of it. We were in a room with a shared tiled hallway and the room next door was partying. We called security several times who failed to control their guests. We had people knocking on and hitting our door with their bodies through the entire night for 2 nights. The hotel said they were fully booked and only moved us to a lesser room on our final night. JetBlue have refused to take responsibility for selling us a package which didn't disclose that most of the hotel would not be available for use. They said we needed to complain to them and not the hotel, which we were not aware of. When we called to get earlier flights out of FL and tried to complain, the representative said they were not the correct person to speak to and we would have to call back. Needless to say we will not be using JetBlue Getaways again.

I disagree with Tyg and think you have a valid complaint. However, he is right in that if the hotel doesn't tell Jet Blue, then Jet Blue can't tell you.

I had a similar hotel experience once after flying home from overseas. I had my two young children with me and we were up all night because of the party in the next room. What did I do?  I waited about an hour after the party was over and then called their room every 10 minutes and hung up. Petty and immature, but it did make me feel better!

Do you not have anything better to do than troll this website responding with irate postings that in no way affect you? You seem angrier at my post than we were at JetBlue!

I actually disagree with you and think any company that sells a product or service needs to take responsibility for what they sell. JetBlue should know about events at the hotel. Other companies have warned us of renovations or areas of the hotel being out of commission, why should JetBlue be any different? Therefore their standards are lower than other providers of the same services. And that is the purpose of this website, to warm consumers.

Once again...

Oncer again the American consumer is completly misinformed. How exactly are they supposed to disclose this information if THEY DONT HAVE IT!!! The hotel DOESNT have to give jetblue ANY information. If they do not have the information, how exactly are they going to disclose this to you? Youre attacking the wrong company here. Yet again the American consumer lashes out at ANYONE they can to get some form of petty juvenile "justice".

Its obvious that you took your complaint to the hotel. It really just sounds like youre looking for something free. So instead of taking this up with the hotel that had the responsability to inform Jetblue, YOU are going to attack Jetblue who had no foreknowledge of the event at the hotel. If it wasnt on the hotel website. Why would you EXPECT and ASSUME that Jetblue would know. You do realize they are NOT omnicient right......

You stayed in a hotel OVER a holiday weekend. They are going to be issues especially on a holiday weekend. A hotel room is only PUBLIC HOUSING!! If no one barged into your room then you got what you paid for. There is also a fisheye peephole to look through so its not like you had to open the door for ANYONE. Get over it jackass. They wont give you a free room at the hotel.

This is yet another attempt by the American consumer to attempt internet blackmail. Its obvious by this posters own words that they EXPECTED Jetblue to KNOW EVERYTHING going on at that hotel. Thats a impossible expectation. As Jetblue DOESNT RUN THE HOTEL!! And if the information was not up on the hotel website how can Jetblue be held accountable. They cant. Yet another person looking for something free because they b****ed online.
