JK Chevrolet Van was involved in fire, never heard from their insurance company, never received certified letter. Leinholder, Americredit, repossed vehicle due to storage fees accrued by JK Chevrolet that we never knew about, we thought they were repairing vehicle, and have full coverage insurance with Farm Bureau. Trying to sweep under the rug, someone please help! Illegal storage fees, and repossesion. Nederland Texas

Van was involved in fire, never heard from their insurance company, never received certified letter concerning any type of storage fees. JK Chevrolet contacted leinholder, Americredit, repossed vehicle due to storage fees saying we violated the contract by the storage fees accrued by JK Chevrolet that we never knew about, we thought they were waiting to find cause of fire which is what we were told in December, and we do have full coverage insurance with Farm Bureau on vehicle.

Jk Chevrolet is trying to sweep under the rug, someone please help! Illegal storage fees, and repossesion. Don't understand why between our insurance and JK Chevrolet's insurance we ended up getting a repo and we kept paying payments all this time never fell behind. All we wanted was for the van to be checked out completely to insure the safety of our family and church members. Now we are facing a repossesion on our credit and 8 months of non use of something we are paying for. All this after buying a 2008 HHR no lein what gratitude, HUH!

Abandoned vehicle

On approximatly December the 15th our dealership service and parts operations were destroyed by fire. As the Service Manager for the dealership I had the challenge of identifying the owners of all of the vehicles that were in my department.

The Dealer management system was also destroyed by the fire. I contacted over 40 customers as soon as I was allowed access to the vehicles. Some vehicles were damaged in the fire and all customers were notified as quickly as possible to give them a status on their vehicle.

Because the service and parts departments were destroyed we were unable to continue servicing vehicles or selling parts. This customer was notified as quickly as possible that his vehicle was unharmed by the fire and was also advised that were were unable to provide service on his vehicle. I advised him to contact another General Motors dealership to have any mechanical concerns corrected.

He simply refused to pick up his vehicle. He was notified in person at the dealership when he and I inspected it that it was undamaged. We advised him at least 5 different times that he needed to pick his vehicle up. He refused to do so. He was eventually mailed a certified letter and so was the leinholder. The leinholder eventually picked up the vehicle as he had abandoned it at the dealership for 8 months.

   I have been an agent for a little over a year now and love it.  The reason why I work for Farm Bureau is because I know they pay their claims better than anyone else.  I was a client for years before I became an agent. 

   Now regarding the statement you made that you made no money and even after working for so much time,  I would be willing to bet that maybe selling insurance is just not the right thing for you. In fact maybe a self employeed job is not the right thing for you.  The reason why I say that is cause I know and I'm sure that everyone else who has ever had a commision only job knows that it is 100% up to you to "bring home the bacon."  and that is why I love being self employeed.  I have all the control.  It's just like in sports,  So many sports are team sports and its funny how you always hear the players complaining about how its the other teammates fault when they loose but a sport like wrestling is you and you alone, ya losing sucks cause you can't blaim anyone else but winning is a million times better cause YOU did it.

   I completed my year mark a few months ago and I have made more money then I ever had before and I wasn't poor before either.  I would say that if a guy doesn't make somwhere between $70k-$100 his first year maybe selling anything is not the right job.

   This job pays based on production. If you don't produce you don't make money and that is all there is to it. I do see a pretty big turn over rate but that is the case with any sales position cause people hear what they can pottentially make and just forget that you are the boss and know one is going to pick up the slack when you're not makikng it.

   I do fell really bad for you and hope that you do well in what ever else you decide to do.  In all honesty your manager should have let you go within the first couple of months.  It sounds like the writting must have been on wall with this one.

   Farm Bureau is one of the best Insurance companies out there.  All of my clients that have been in claims all thank me for talking them into switching.
