I had paid JK Harria almost 3k and they never got the IRS off my back.  My case worker was changed constantly, and they made me sign Power of Attorneys.  I havent been able to get a hold of someone for months and yesterday the IRS put a levy on my paycheck for 33,000.00  I am still unable to get a hold of anyone and whenI spoke to the IRS I was told that JK Harria revoked my POA.

The Facts

AUTHOR: Sara - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 31, 2010

I was dealing with very sick family members and wasn't having enough taxes taken out of my check.   I am now current with my taxes for the last8 yrs, but this is going back to the 90's and early 2000's.  I do not have any assests.  I own NO property, the bank owns my shitty car, I have no 401K I  HAVE NOTHING.  a couple of you seem a little judgmental and I dont' really appreciate it.  I was told that my issues would be settled on the penny.  I paid this company to help me and I never got calls letters or anything from them.  If you do your homework like I should of done, you will see  the class action lawsuits, and all the complaints stating the same exact thing.  I was stupid for signing up with them.

Currently the IRS is in line to take my money as my a*****e ex husband takes 60% of my check and I take care of my dying father. SO if you are going to be a hater with nasty comments,  do me a favor and don't respond.

What do you expect?

AUTHOR: axxx - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 31, 2010

What did you expect them to do to get the IRS off your back?  I bet they probably did the best they could to help - tried to confirm that the debt is not the result of an error - tried to figure out what your options are for a settlement....  But if what you expect is that you just pay them and somehow they magically make the IRS forget all about you...

The IRS will not Deal if they know you have assets

AUTHOR: IamGood - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 31, 2010

Most of these Tax Payer Intervention companies who deal with the IRS give their customers the impression that if you owe thousands to the IRS  they can get you off the hook.

I know for a fact that they are not always successful.  If the IRS knows you still have assets that can be sold to recover most of the money, they will seize those assets, and when you have nothing else left, then they will allow these Tax Payer Intervention Companies to come in and play lets make a deal.

First I have a question, why did you owe 33,000 to the IRS to begin with?  Did you really think that as long as you have assets to sell, and have a paycheck that the IRS was going to settle with you for 2000, or so dollars?????  Fat Chance.  They are going to take every thing you own, and then when they have it all, then they will bargin with you.

Just take your lumps, and pay your taxes.
