Be extremely leery of this website! I did the seven day trial to check into some interesting posts. Once I signed up I was extremely disappointed. Here are several complaints I have:

In the free version you have to search by region making the postings extremely broad. The kicker is they only give you a vague description of the job and they don't give you the city or state the job is located in. This gave me postings as far as North Dakota. I live in Louisiana. You do have the option to filter by state/area but that's only when you pay. When I added the filter I came up with two jobs that where within driving distance and the had nothing to do with sports. I live in the second largest populated(est. 300,000) area in Louisiana, second to New Orleans.

My next complaint is the postings themselves. When applying for a job with a larger company such as Red Bull, Nike, d**k's Sporting Goods, SMG, etc... you are taken to the company's home page for their employment website. You then have to search again for the job you originally wanted to apply for. Then go through the entire application and resume process. Why not just go to the websites yourself and apply that way? It is faster and free! As for the postings where you submit resumes via email most of the positions had already been filled. Huge waste of time and money.

My last complaint. After the seven day trial my password and log-in no longer worked. It even said my log-in email and password had expired. So naturally I figured my membership had been canceled and that was that. I later check my bank statement and saw they had withdrew $29.95. I was placed on an auto renew month to month membership. I later check the fine print on the website and saw that if I did not cancel that is what would happen. If I had been able to continue my log-in as normal I would've known to cancel, why would I think otherwise when it told me it had expired. I double checked my log-in email and password several time to make sure it would not allow me to log-in.

They do not have a contact phone number(what does that tell you?). I had to send them an email which took 48 hrs for a response. I told them the situation and I wanted a refund. They said that my cancellation has been processed and will take effect after my first month membership was over. as for the refund I should have canceled prior to the expiration of the trial membership. So basically, go f--- yourself. Thanks jobs in sports for a huge waste of time and thirty bucks.

COMPLETE MISUNDERSTANDING, DISREGARD PREVIOUS COMPLAINT!!!

AUTHOR: JeffSmith211 - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, November 10, 2011

I am in no way obligated or being bullied by anyone to post this update.  This is how I truly feel and I hope to have the complaint removed as soon as possible.  Essentially, the problem came down to a misunderstanding.  It is a small business that has done an outstanding job of making things right as far as my complaints go.  What I said does not accurately describe how they run their business.  They would have resolved the issue sooner, which would've eliminated the resulting complaint, but the president was out of town.

Simply doing an Internet search on this company produces results from this website.  While I commend ripoffreport.com for this it will prove detrimental to this company.  My intentions where to simply state my concerns not run a small business into the ground.  They have sincerely done everything possible to redeem themselves. They gave me a refund and even offered me a year membership free.  All of this was before they were even aware of the complaint I made on this website.  Everything in the review is as far from the truth as possible.

To address the previous complaints, which I have actually discussed with the president of the company.  They take 5,000 job boards a week and pull them all together to make it easier on you.  This allows you to search quickly and easily for certain positions, job titles, etc...  This gives you better quality results than you would see on the other free job search websites.  Although this does come at a price the amount of time you save looking at quality job posts makes it worth every penny.

As for job postings already being filled.  They "purge" the system once a week of these positions.  This means going through 3,000+ positions.  This means a position that has been filled will only remain on the site for possibly a few days before being taken off.

When searching for jobs in the free search it does search an extremely large region.  It can and will produce results from VERY far away.  He informed me that the company would look into changing it.  But given the nature of the positions it would not be difficult for someone to find the position if they were able to search a smaller area.  This would completely eliminate the need for anyone having to pay.

As I stated before this is an extremely good resource! As for my complaint about there not being very many positions where I live, I failed to mention there are no major sports franchises where I live. That greatly limits the number of positions available to me locally. I did not consider this when searching.

So, I urge you, if you are in the market for a job in sports check out this website. If anything, pay for the trial version and try it out. It is a great company and if I am ever in the market again I will be returning!

Refund was issued

AUTHOR: JeffSmith211 - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, October 06, 2011

It took a little time but I was issued a refund. It appears that this company is making a valid attempt to improve upon their website. I was contact by the president through email with an apology and stated he was giving me a refund. He also asked me to explain how they could improve upon their website.
