In all my years, and I have lived a long time, I have never come across a company and employees so unethical, so fraudulent, and so manipulative that I am scared to be associated with them. Having my air conditioner "serviced" for a minimal fee with "no strings attached" I decided it was the repsonsible thing to do as summer approached. After 5 minutes in to the service, the serviceman said in his 32 years of being in the air conditioning busienss, he has never seen an a/c in such condition, and could not let me live in the home in good conscience. HE said I should consider moving to a hotel or move from the home for health and safety reasons. Well, being a senior on a fixed income, neither are viable options.

But, the unscrupulous serviceman said that for $6,500 he could "save my life" and just so happened to have the right unit in stock. Scare tactics, health, and sense of urgency were his tactics to get me to have to sign up for a new air conditioner. Well, come to find out they charged my credit card right away, even before delivering and installing the unit, which they told me they would not do. A week later, a couple guys show up with no warning, no appointment and say they are there to install the new a/c. They spent 2 days making such a mess. I asked them if they had proper permits, insurance, and ability to install the untit and they actually told me "thats not required for this job."

After the installation, they left a huge mess, saying they woudl return with a clean up crew, as that was standard procedure. After 3 days, and numerous phone call which no one picker up, I had to clean up the mess myself. It was awful. And, every time I turned the air conditioner on, it blew the circuit breaker. I kept calling, and calling, and calling, and n onoe woudl return my calls. I spend $6,500 for an a/c that blew a fuse every single time it turned on. So, I had to spend another $750 for an electrician to come out and fix the problem they created. And when I finally reached Joe Cool, they said that any return would be a $250 service fee, even though I just got a new a/c iinstalled by them they won't honor any service guarantee. I have NEVER ever seen a company so unethical and so mean to anyone, let alone the seniors of their community.

To this day, the old a/c worked so much better than this "new one" they HAD to install immediately. RipOff Report, will you please help so other elderly folks don't get scammed again by this awful company and these frauds?
