John Pyle is the most unprofessional, innapropriate so called therapist I have ever come across. In 2015 Is when I sought out a therapist and he was the first one to respond. I am on disability so my insurance covers my therapisy bill with no out of pocket costs. The first session was right away odd in that he had no furniture other than a couch that took up half the room and a chair he sat in very close to me. He was sitting in this chair in the middle of a otherwise cramped and hot room with no air, no fan and it looked more like a bedroom with a couch than an office. He right away was a bit odd with his weird laugh and we had a lot of uncomfortable silences in between as if he did not know what to say. I saw this man a total of 4 times and that was enough for me to call it quits. The first time I met him he told me he also suffered from anxiety, depression and had a congnitive  disorder. He then went into a bit of detail about his father who was an alcoholic and went on to say how he was mistreated and ignored as a child. I took this as he was trying to relate to me so did not want to read too much into it at first. By the second session he again mentioned things about his disorder, his father and this time there was apparent anger behind it. He seemed to get caught up in his own problems and then would catch himself and make jokes like how he should be paying me. By the third session I thought to myself how nothing was really talked about on my end and how I really wanted to make these sessions count. Well one of the first things Mr. Pyle began talking about was healthnet and how they screwed over many therapist and did not pay them and said they were crooked and basically were mistreating therapists all over and not paying them properly. Then he went on to say that I needed to make sure to be aware of this and how I may need to pay him upfront until he made sure healthnet paid him and said he was going to start doing this with his patients. I then told him I do not pay premiums and how I was covered 100% from my insurance. Mr. Pyle debated on that and went onto say how they did not care about me and for me not to expect them to pay. I told him they didn't have a choice since I was disabled and had no income.Mr John Pyle seemed to rant for about 20 minutes about healthnet and the system and he seemed to get more ad more angered. I though this was highly innapropriate but he then apologized and I let it go. I did not want to be too judgmental as I was feeling insecure since I was the patient. So by the fourth session when I arrived I was really ready to get into my healing process and talk about things I needed to get off my chest, however, the first thing that came out of Mr. Pyles mouth was how he needed to make sure he was being paid for this and yet again he ranted for another 2o or so minutes about healthnet and how I may need to pay out of pocket costs and how they were not treating him right and on and on until I finally had enough. I then told Mr. Pyle that I did not work and I was not sure what problems he was having with healthnet but I told him I felt this was extremely innappropriate to be talking about this with me and informed him that this was something he needed to take up with his provider and not with me. I told him I was extremely unhappy that the past 4 sessions were completely taken up about him, his father, his anxiety problems and now his problems with his insurance provider. I then told him I felt extremely uncomfortable and was going to leave. He asked that I stay but at this point I clearly could see this man was not fit to help me nor anyone else for that matter. I started to even wonder if he was even licensed. At this point I was quite frustrated. I went home only to get a call from mr pyle telling me how he was sorry, he would not bill me , that he would wait for healthnet to pay him and he wanted me to continue. He then went on and on further about healthnet. At this point I felt a bit frightended and tried to calm this man down about healthnet. I never went back to see him and about 3 weeks later I received a bill in the mail for $150. This man in my opinion needs to be in therapy more than I do and I am horrified that this is what's out there. I wanted to let the public know about this man and to not waste your time or money on John Pyle. Make sure to do your homework thoroughly before seeing a random therapist!
