I contracted Johnny Ray to refinish my tub and tile surrounds on 4/12/10. His site touts his Christian standards. He showed up and prepped & finished the tub and tile surrounds in about an hour. He asked that I look at it while there was still spray residue in the air, and it looked to be ok thru the mist. I paid him $500 and received his hand written receipt w/the 10 year warrantee hand written across the top. He also added in writing that the odor would be gone in 35 minutes, clean w/non abrasive cleaner and it would be ready to use in 4 hours.

After he'd left and the paint mist had settled (on everything else in the bathroom) and I found that there were multiple runs in the finish. Within 2 weeks the paint (and I mean PAINT) was brittle and peeling.

Contacting Johnny about this problem he initially acted as though he would make it right, setting an appt to come out and re-shoot the tub. When that day came, and after many, many emails, texts and calls, he emailed me and said his Aunt's house was hit by a hail storm. At that point I gave him the benefit of the doubt and agreed to let him do it the following week. When the next agreed upon date came around, I stayed home from work to accommodate him. The entire day he wouldn't return calls, emails or texts. At the end of the day he sent an email stating that he had filed bankruptcy and I would be breaking Federal law if I contacted him again! He was courteous enough to leave me his atty's number. That number rings into a law office that is answered by a robot phone system. Good luck getting thru to a human.

As of today, Johnny's business phone is still operational as is his site, looks like he's still at it. This afternoon I looked into his antics by doing the research I wish I'd have done before ever letting this "Christian" gentleman into my home, and he's got quite a reputation of doing shoddy work, and not honoring his warrantee.

I was a victim of Johnny Ray also. I have posted my information on here along with the others. I would like to contact others in the Dallas / Ft Worth area. Currently I have a couple of posts on Craigslist about Mr Ray. If you could please contact me via my Craigslist post in Household Services.

Johnny Ray Biz, AKA Johnny Ray, AKA John Yarbrough is back under a new company name. WWW.BathTubMiracles.com. His site is quoting even more Biblical quotes, but he's selling the same services. You won't find his name anywhere on the site, but it's the same picture of him, same cell number, and even more bragging about his morals, customer satisfaction concerns, warranty, etc. He now states that he carries a concealed weapon. Yikes. I have a reputable tub refinishing company coming out this week to redo Johnny's work. He's quite familiar w/Johnny's legacy. BTW, that's an additional $250 to strip off Johnny's mess.
