 We loaned $100,000 to Jon Murray. When he defaulted on interest payments, he gave us a second mortgage on his house, but then was foreclosed on. We had to buy the first mortgage to protect our original investment  but he declared bankruptcy and when we tried to evict him, he appealed and lived there almost a year without paying anything. We paid thousands of dollars to lawyers while he lied to us and then finally he stole the appliances, ripped off all outside shutters, damaged the water system and left the house in shambles before the sheriff came to change the locks. Meanwhile he was selling other properties and living in another house he 'owned' while trying to attract more gullible investors. We lost many thousands of dollars, and spent 2 years with lawyers and trust agencies trying to get some of our money back. I hope no one else falls for his smooth talk and complete deceit.
