Jonathan W. Muhammad is an unlicensed, uninsured individual who poses as a licensed contractor.  He offered to assist me with some general contracting for a home that I own in Canarsie Brooklyn.  Jonathan collected funds from me to prepare two apartments for rental.  I live in Florida and could not monitor the progress.  Jonathan Muhammad  assured me that the progress was going as planned.  He collected $5400 from me and never fulfilled the terms of our verbal contract.  He purchased cabinetry for one of the apartments and told me that they were solid wood.  

I later found out that this wasn't the case and the cabinets were poster board pressed wood. He didn't complete the apartments and caused a prospective tenant to threaten to demand a refund, when the apartment wasn't ready on the move in day.  Jonathan blatantly lied about the completed tasks and pocket the funds that I paid him without fulfilling the terms of ourr verbal contract. He's a pathological liar and cheated me out of $3,000.  Do not hire this person.  He's dishonest, evasive and a crook.  Do not attempt to do business with this corrupt individual.  He performed sloppy, incomplete work and left exposed wiring and gas lines visible in the tenant apartment.  

He didn't perrform 1/4th of the work agreed upon and refused to refund any portion of the funds that I paid him.  He's duplicitous, a shyster and a cheat.  Refrain from any business dealings with this individual.  He was a resident of Bermuda up until a year ago and moved to Brooklyn.  His address is  8412 Avenue K in Canarsie Brooklyn.  His phone number is (917) 702-5676.  He's 6'4" and weighs approximately 250lbs.  He's african american with hazel eyes and curly brown hair.  He speaks with a Britis/Bermudan accent and a lisp.  He drives a BMW and has a pick up truck.  He's had recent financial difficulties due to a messy divorce.  Do not engage in any business dealings with this individual.
