Mr. Josh Treadwell from Fresno California near Kings Canyon National Park and Sequoia National Park has abused his renters / tenants. He went into the house he was renting on craigslist ( with his brother and pulled a renter out of bed and proceeded to physically abuse him then proceeded to toss him into the street. The police were called by the guys girlfriend who was trapped in the bathroom, but he kept changing his story to the police (I spoke with them myself). He has used text messaging to harass his renters (mostly the female ones) but not for not paying rent! He is a weak man with a mental problem and he really needs help, plus anger management classes. He currently has open lawsuits for other faulty sales he has made included but not limited to; his used and new car sales position, which he lost in Fresno due to his attitude problems and other mental issues. He moved to San Francisco to avoid any possible repercussions and physical abuse from upset customers, who also should have filed reports like this. He has sold almost all of his property and is on the verge of bankruptcy. I would not rent nor buy from him because of these issues.

Teenage girl and male sneak into my home

AUTHOR: Josh Treadwell - (USA)

I would like to apologize for the experience that you went through while somehow getting into my home a few years ago. If I could go back to that day, I would have handled it differently. However writing false and malicious things about me, and calling me names, can get you into trouble. Its called defamation of character (libel) and you can be held accountable if I decide to press charges against you for writing this. That issue aside, please think about the choices you made, and the position you put me in before the incident in question happened.

Before this all went down, I have never met you nor had I seen or talked to you in life. The same goes for that guy you were living in that room in my house together with. I rented my home out to a friend of yours while I moved to the bay area to pursue my bachelor/masters degree. At the time I rented my home to your friend, I was unaware of his credibility and instability with his previous and current employer(s), and I did not know he would put us in the situation he did or believe me, I would have avoided renting to him. He lost his job in Fresno and moved out of my home, breaking our lease (without telling me), and he told you to sneak into a bedroom in my house with your older guy friend until I got back, so you and this man could live together without paying rent for awhile.

When I returned to my house to simply grab some belongings, I did not expecting to see you and some guy living in one of the rooms in my house, two random brothers sharing another room, and another complete stranger living in a 3rd room. What was worse is that your friend who signed the lease was COMPLETLEY GONE, along with all of his belongings, and would not answer his phone. All together there were five complete strangers living in my house and this is no MTV reality show.

I offered to let you and the other strangers stay for a month for free, while I postponed going back to the bay area and stayed in the vacant room your friend left. This would give you plenty of time to find another place, and even though you guys offered to pay rent, I did not accept it so you would have cash to make the move and get out of my home. I didnt know anything about your background: where you worked, what you did there, where you lived before, for how long, and if you snuck into other houses as well. After your friend leaving the way he did, I now see the importance of gathering this information; so thank you to him for helping me learn this sooner rather than later.

What really worried me was that you were a female teenager at the time, living with quite a few male strangers, and they were partying a lot. If anything happened to you, in a drunken moment or anything else, I would be held liable in the court of law because its my property; it was a horrible situation for both of us to be in, and I couldn't not allow this to happen.

Initially on that day, you and that man thanked me for the 30 days free rent, and PROMISED to move out within that time. The other tenants moved out before the 30 days, with no issues at all. When I returned a few days later with my brother (my best friend whom I had not seen since moving to the bay), to collect my stuff and generally hang out for the day; your man-friend told me to my face, We are staying here and there is nothing you can do about it. I dont know where this came from, but neither of you had permission to be there, nor had you paid anything and now youre threatening me in my own home. I called the cops to have them help me remove you, because you were trespassing and I shouldve called them a few days earlier when I first found all of you there. I really do not know what you expected me to do in a situation like this, as I was being more than lenient in helping you in the situation we were put in.

Im also confused to how you say you got ripped off, and posted this on a website out of anger and maliciousness. You paid me no money, lost no personal belongings and were offered 30 days free rent (that doesnt include the free rent you already had). I understand you are pissed off, because you had to move back home with your parents and could not shack up with that man for free anymore. But pissed off and ripped off are separate issues, and I dont see how I am the one who ripped you off?? You should be mad at the friend who abandoned the lease and forced us into some difficult decisions.

You mentioned something about cars, and the car business and lied about law suits. I started at an opening level position at a car dealership; I quickly climbed the ladder by staying in contact with people I sold cars too, for life, as I still talk too many of them today. I met customers and we became friends, and I have many friends who also became customers. It was not long before I became the finance director of the same car dealership. My accelerated performance earned myself numerous awards for customer service as well as consistency in performance in the various positions I held while working there. Not to mention I was flown around the globe by my company working with senior level managers, and receiving many gifts from people whom I did business with. It has easily been one of the best choices in my young life.

By the age of 22 I purchased the home we had our misunderstanding in, and Im currently writing this letter to you from Europe, as I take masters courses here to enlarge my pool knowledge that you describe as weak minded.

I learned from this incident, and I hope you did too, mainly you should always have a lease in writing, and make sure the property manager or owner knows you are there, and plan on putting down a deposit when you move in somewhere. However, I do not think all is lost. You wrote horrible and erroneous things about me, out of frustration with not getting your way. But despite that, I would still like to make this misunderstanding up to you. I will be doing many great things in my life, and will have the ability to help you if you need it, so keep it in mind. What happened wasnt fair to either one of us, and I hope there is some way for you to find something good from it. I understand your frustration, despite the fact that you lost no money, no personal items, and simply had to move home with your family, and were not allowed to live with some random guys you did not know; but truthfully I might have prevented something from happening to you, and most likely did you a favor.

Im leaving the situation behind me, and hope for a better future for us both.

Take Care,

Josh Treadwell
