Journey Pass Phone / Credit Card Scam Haslemere UK Nationwide

My (adult) daughter received a telephone call at my home Friday June 5 from an annoying young man offering some rewards for being a shopper at Walmart of Target. She told him she was not interested. He asked for her credit card information to verify her addy and she refused.....several times.

She told him several times that if the offer was free he did not need her CC info. He replied each time that it was just to verify her addy. She said no.....he replied that he already had the number on her CC and he just needed her to verify it for address purposes. He wouldnt back off. I am standing beside her....I can hear him begging her for the info. She denied him over n over n over. She said she would not give him the info because then he could charge whatever he wanted on that card. He swore that that wasn't true and continued his tirade. She hung up and we thought that was that.......she thwarted his credit card fraud attempt.

Til late last night when she finds out he overdrafter her account by $400.00. This place is outta the UK and none of us had ever heard of them before and she never came him permission to charge ANYTHING to her card....in fact..she never gave him the info he asked for..
YET....the charges appeared on her debit card....her NEW debit card no less.

Now she's gotta try and get the bank to dispute this and return the money to her account and withdraw the overdraft fees. So far when she called last night...the bank told her she must have authorized this. She found out too that a friend of hers was taken for $800 by this same place.
