I was recently contacted by J.R. Financial in reference to a debt owed for a local medical office. By recently I mean Today August 29th 2008. On my cell phone. I was told about the debt, the amount of the debt, where it originated, why the debt was placed with J.R. Financial Collections.Who the debtor is. I was also told about the conversation that was recorded and that had taken place the afternoon before.The employees name that had spoken with me was Robin and she stated that she has been in the collections field for twenty years. That's impressive! The problem here was that the debt wasn't mine. It is supposedly my girlfriends! Not wife! Girlfriend! No I did not co-sign for this loan or debt. In fact it was incurred before we even started dating. I was never asked her social security number, for power of attorney or to verify my identity in any way! This is against the law and the fair credit act. I would not advise using this company for your business. I would advise J.R. Brothers Financial to put Robin with 20 yrs. collection experience in check! As well I would advise J.R. Brothers Financial to not threaten, harass or do anything illegal or unethical to the daughter of the man who is an is a well known and respected owner of a Law Firm as well as a very good attorney. With allot more than 20 yrs. experience. Not a good move on J.R. Financials part. My name is Charlie and this report was written by me personally. Here is a copy of the letter sent to JR Brothers Financial from my girlfriend today. She sent it certified and personal info has been edited. As well please remember that you always have rights. This is what the term freedom means.

This is a letter of dispute in reference to the above mention account initiated by: J.R. Brothers Financial Inc. representing Desert Springs Dental located in the State of Arizona, County of Maricopa in The United States of America.


I, XXXXX XXXXXXXX, reside at XXXX X XXXXXXX XX XXXXXXX XX XXXXX am disputing the bill and all collection actions placed against me in the approximate amount of $250.00.



I am requesting a copy of a letter claimed to have been mailed to me on August 4th 2008 from J.R. Brothers Financial, Inc.


I have not received any such letter or demand from J.R. Financial, Inc. Only three phone calls in the past two days which are outlined as follows:


Phone call #1 to me, xxxxx xxxxxxxxx at (xxx) xxxxxxx from Liz of JR Bothers Financial, Inc. calling from phone # (602) 861-9893 at 11:41am (08/28/08). Liz left a voice mail requesting I contact J.R. Brothers Financial, Inc.


Phone call #2 to me, XXXXX XXXXXXXX at (xxx) xxx-xxxx from Liz calling from phone # (602) 861-9893 at 11:46am (08/28/08) from 602-861-9893 at which time I answered the call. The representative/collecting agent had explained that this is an attempt to collect a debt and demanded payment in full! I stated I wasn't sure about this debt and could not recall receiving a letter in reference to this debt from J.R. Brothers Financial, Inc. I stated I must pay my rent before any other debts. After I made this statement, an uncomfortable discussion and direct threat to contact my place of employment was made to me by Liz (last name unknown). Liz then continued this uncomfortable conversation with an unjustly comment of good luck to you, I'm contacting your employer and abruptly hung up the phone, or "disconnected the call."

I will print up both of the phone logs for your records.


Phone call #3 to my boyfriend, xxxxxxx at (xxx) xxx-xxxx from Robin calling from phone # (602) 861-9224 9:11am (08/29/08). Robin exposed my information to xxxxxxx without verification of debt, cosigner status, marriage, social security number, power of attorney or any other legal or financial responsibilities on behalf of me. Robin did advise xxxxxxx that she has been a collection agent for twenty years. This call lasted five minutes and forty three seconds! Awful long time to be discussing my debt with my boyfriend.



This letter will serve as notice/request and demand to J.R. Brothers Financial, Inc. from xxxxx xxxxxxxx. Please do not contact me by telephone at my place of residence located at xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, phone # (xxx) xxx xxxx or my place of employment, xxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx xxxxxx xxxxxxx , xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx phone # XXX XXX XXXX from today's date of August 29, 2008 and will continue without expiration.



I will, however, accept written requests/letters and respond to any such letter or demand in a timely manner allowed to me after review.



Thank you for your time and I expect that J.R. Brothers Financial Inc. and any such employees of will handle this dispute and/or resolution in a professional manner. I expect both my civil and constitutional rights will be respected and follow all rules, regulations, and laws set in place by the FDCPA and abide by all federal, state, county and city codes and laws.

Financial, Inc. and its employees have followed and abided by any and all laws, acts, codes set forth by the federal, state, county and city governments and the fact that my rights, Civil and/or Constitutional, have not been violated as stated in any of these laws, codes or acts.
