J.T. Bryant Inc. Took Money & Didn't Payoff Collector - Account still locked Roanoke Texas

Worked with J.T. Bryan to repair our credit before purchasing a home in 2013.  He helped clear many things off our credit report and our scores did go up.

One of the items on the report was an old student loan (short-term) that had gone to collection with a hard-to-deal-with company.  He contacted them, and got a final amount due for us that would provide us with an all-clear for moving forward.  The collection was removed from our credit report so we assumed that that meant it was all taken care of.

He said he paid them $2985.  We provided him payment for that amount and requested a receipt. We never got one, just excuses. "JT is out of town" "We will look in to this"  "We got a new computer system and our old files were on dropbox but i can't find this" and finally they just stopped communicating and answering our emails.

Two years ago my husband was trying to get an official transcript and the school said his account was still locked because it was in collection and UNPAID.  We contacted JT numerous times.  I believe he replied a few times this time around with more excuses including this line in August of 2015 "We will have our legal department address this as we have spent to much of you time and ours with these people"

 He has never provided proof of payment, and the account was still in collection.  We finally had to pay it off (now making our amount paid DOUBLE) ourselves again just so we could get his account released from collection.
