I had done business with these "seemingly" nice people for a while during the developing stage of their business. I had given them over $25,000 of business. While they seemed nice, I always sensed there was something very "off" with it all, my gut feeling if you will.

I was out of town on personal business when I was browsing Ebay and discovered my own drums up for sale! There was no doubt as they were very rare and valuable drums. I didn't recognize the seller, but after some investigating I discovered that it was a secondary account of the very drum shop I was doing business with! As it turned out my-now-ex-stepson was the one who had stolen the drums from me along with other very valuable cymbals etc. He was a known crackhead in town. This known criminal went into the drum shop and was immediately offered and took a paltry $200 for the 3 drums, whose value was well known to these "experts" as well over $2000. They also quickly told him to bring in the cymbals as well for some fast cash. Yes of course they paid in cash.

When I learned the truth I called the police immediately, and to make a sorid long story short, my now ex-wife refused to let the police get involved. As I was unfortunately in New York dealing with two terminally ill family members I could not come up there and take charge of this horrid situation. Without my knowledge my Ex was forced to "ransom" the 3 drums and pay the $200 back to the drum shop, which they had demanded to release the drums, which I needed to make a living. Of course the legal thing was to let the police confiscate the goods, arrest the theif and so on. Which I would have done if I was able to be there.

This was the beginning of a long battle of me trying to deal with this supposed "5 Star" shop in a civil and legal way. They became incredibly abusive and actually the owner, Chris Dealaman confronted my Ex and her little child in the parking lot and verbally abused them until the child was in tears and screaming. This is only the beginning of this story.

Please anyone, do not do business with these animals and feel free to contact me anytime and I will tell you many other horror stories I and other have had with these criminals.

My Nametag was on the drumcase, so there is no doubt they knew the true owner's identity! They also quickly told him to bring in the cymbals as well for some more fast cash. Yes of course they paid in cash. When I learned the truth I called the police immediately, and to make a sorid long story short, my now ex-wife refused to let the police get involved.

Of course the correct and legal thing to do was to let the police confiscate the goods, arrest the theif, and the buyers of known stolen property and so on. Which I would have done if I was able to be there. This was the beginning of a long battle of me trying to deal with this supposed "5 Star" shop in a civil and legal way.
