we purchesd a concrete/mosaic tiled bench from this store last year, we found this sprin that all of the tile had falen off, when we first aproched the store the manager said that this was sold by other retailers but its an exclusive product to this retailer as well as they said with out a recipt they could not do any thing after we went back from finding the recipt they basicly said we were stuck with it (there is no maufactures address or number on the box) we tried calling the customer number for the retailer and they said its up to the store manager to handle it seems to be that they dont want to deal with the junk they sell for a return or credit they say to bad! well k mart sells JUNK!

Return a year later?

AUTHOR: Jamie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, June 18, 2008

I work at a retail store NOT k-mart, but stores at the most only offer a 90 day return policy if that and it should be stated on your reciept. You can not expect a store to give you a rufund on any item you purchased a year ago. The manager might not have known it was bought from k-mart becuase they did not get that same bench in THIS YEAR, I can not tell you every item my retail work sold last year.

Customers need to remember that a receipt is your only proof of purchase so YES you would need that to get a refund it is common sense and the k-mart out here has it printed on the receipt items sold can only be returned within 90 days of purchase and it even states the last day you can return it by (Is that why you did not bring the receipt with you the first time?) I see people like you come into my place of employeement all the time and try the same thing. People bring back sesonal items the bought last year and think they can just get a new one this year that is not how it works.

If you had a problem with the bench during the first 90 days sure bring it back but don't expect to get a replacement for it when next spring rolls around and this one just isn't in the same shape it was last year. You got your use out of it all last year what without any complaints right it wasn't JUNK then was it. You seem to be the one trying to rip off k-mart.
