Kat Kafashian - Tearsheetsmanagement ripoff, lies, unpaid invoices Los Angeles California

I am a photographer in Los Angeles. I have beed hired by Kat Kafashian, through a make-up artist friend of mine, that had just been hired by Kat the day before for the same kind of work.

She needed a photographer, last minute, because her 'regular' photographer cancelled on her.
So I went down to her loft in Downtown L.A., WITHOUT CHECKING any of her credentials, and photographed 4 people for her. There was also another photographer that showed up a little later and also photographed some of these people.

At the end of the day, when came time to be paid, after I handed the cd's from the work I had done, she said that she usually made checks on Fridays, would I mind coming back.

Even if it is against my policy, since she had the cd's in her hands, AND she started talking about booking me for the next week. I accepted.

So the next day she said she had to go to San Diego, did I mind picking my check when we shoot again, next week. Well, despite my gut feeling, and basically not having much choice, I accepted, determined to be paid at the end of the next photoshoot.

Well, of course, she then had another excuse, and it has been excuse after excuse ever since.
The make-up artist has not been paid either, and yesterday the other photographer contacted me, and has not been paid either!

SO, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH KAT KAFASHIAN or TEARSHEETS MANAGEMENT.

We will be taking our returned checks to the District Attorney's office to file charges.
