My water pump went out so i took my van to Kc's Automotive on cave springs st in El Dorado Kansas and i found out that my motor was shot. The owner Kenny Collins told me he found a engine at a salvage yard in Wichita for $1100 and he would only charge me $300 to switch them over.

I agreed and  and gave him $1100 in cash and he gave me a receipt. He got the motor and put it in and couldn't get it timed. After around 7 weeks he asked me if he could take it to KIA in Wichita to have a professional look at it and he would pay for the tow and any other expense,he stated that it shouldn't have taken so long for him to fix my van so he wouldn't charge me for any thing, including the $300 that we agreed on at the first.

After a few more weeks i was told by KIA that the motor was shot  and that it looked to them that it was not replaced at all.I called kc's and told them i talked to KIA  and heard Kenny yelling and cussing in the background. Its been a month and i have not heard from kc's.I got a call from KIA yesterday stating that they finally got in contact with Kc's and were told that i was gong to pay for the outstanding cost to get my van back, this is a  out rite lie.

To sum all this up,i tried to have faith during all this. that it was just a bunch of bad luck he was having but because of the  outcome i conclude he scammed me from the beginning and pocketed my $1100.if you want to trust this guy go for it but beware .i lost my van and my money.

You were "coned"?

Did they put a paper cone on your head? Perhaps an ice cream cone or a pine cone?
