It seems that Keen has cleaned up its act. A lot of the frauds/fakes seem to have been removed from its rolls.

However, I have noticed a worrying trend...perhaps I would be stupid not to..but that readers on this pay per minute service are more concerned with keeping you on the phone and providing a service. THey will chat away on your dime, and then send you one free minute as incentive to call back. Gee, thanks. :(

My advice is to be just hang up on readers who can't get to the point..otherwise you will waste a lot of money fast. Don't give them the benefit of the doubt...if they are deliberating on keeping you on the phone, knowing they are being paid per minute, then they are intentionally fleecing you

I am calling out Moonstone01 in particular. This reader was very slow....For every querstion, she'd look and then take a few minutes "meditating" and come back with a vague answer. I guess she was accurate in a vague kind of way. Where this got problematic was when I asked her to confirm what she had said, just for clarity. But she could not clarify or explain her remarks..Instead for each point of clarity, she would again have to meditate...and look....

When it became clear that she was not a good value for money and that any further questioning would not provide me with any further value for the great amount of money I was wasting on her allowing her to deliberate and slowly come up with some kind of vague interpretation, I just said, "Well, thanks for your help. Talk to you later." I then hung up.

I got off the phone thinking that I had wasted a lot of money and I vowed simply not to call her back again. I thought she at least meant well and wasnt going to leave bad feedback for her...

Then..and this is where the fraud comes in...she began flooding my email box with this over the top praise. Each email she sent (there must have been five withiin five minutes -- which is shocking as she could type and jet out emails faster than she could actually read...but anyway..) contained five free minutes. She apologized for not being quick in her reading and begged me to leave her good feedback, sending more and more five free minutes as an incentive. It got ridiculous...Her emails were fawning, telling me how wonderful I am, how she enjoyed talking to me, and couldnt wait to talk to me again.

I thought this was all wierd as I didn't enjoy the call and thought she did a terrible job. I thought maybe she wanted another chance.

So, I left her five stars...and not positive feedback (as I couldn't lie)..but just a thank you for your time...

As soon as I left the feedback, she immediately blocked me.

You can draw whatever conclusions you want from this exchange..but this is mine:

1. She deliberately kept me on the phone longer that necessary and was intentionally slow in her responses to get as much money as possible...Since I am a patient person, she thought she could get away with this...

2. When it became clear that I was in on her con, she attempted to bribe me and lied, claiming that she really liked me and wanted to speak with me, while showering my email box with free minutes to make up for the lost time...to make it look like she really didn't care about the running up billable minutes..that she really had my best interests in mind...

3. Once she was assured she got good/neutral feedback for an incredibly substandard reading, she blocked me so that no one would ever know what she did...ie, so I could never call back and reference it...

She took her money and ran.

Since she blocked me from leaving feedback through dishonest and unscrupulous means, I am leaving her feedback on Ripoffreport.com

By leaving five stars, following her numerous pleadings and free minutes, I was prevented from leaving one star and getting a full refund for that call. She lied, intentionally (I believe) stole my money, and then prevented me from getting it back, through false representations.

I may end up filing a report with her with Keen as well....

Anyway, buyer beware. Becareful of unscrupulous practices on Keen.

The report is incorrect on so many levels and the only conclusion is that the person has confused the advisor with someone else.

"This reader was very slow"....Any one can read the comments left by other callers and see written about the VERY FAST PACE; also, as a teacher, a fast pace is always the highlight from administrator evaluations "For every querstion, she'd look and then take a few minutes meditating' " This is so fabricated because most calls only LAST a few minutes and NEVER, in 10 years has there ever been MEDITATING! That is NOT the style used, only direct and quick answers.

ONLY ONE follow up email is sent to the caller, immediately after the call, unless there was an obviously poor connection and promoting other calls would not be mutually beneficial. THEN no other emails are sent from moonstone01...."she began flooding my email box with this over the top praise. KEEN, the company, has record of ALL emails and if this were pursued in court, this poster would be in big legal trouble because no moonstone01 mail, in 10 years on the www has ever stated, 'can't wait to talk to you again.' Simply NOT the language used. <

From the start, the caller is always told he/she can call (with free minutes sent after the call) or write anytime, whereby there would be NO need to keep the caller on the phone, SO inconsistent.

This poster is clearly VERY confused and if the person was so unhappy, why would they try to contact an advisor again, and even learn about being blocked, if that was even the case. In most cases, keen advisors only block with callers are rude or pursuing a cause that is simply not in the realm of the industry.

"TOOK the money and ran...her numerous pleadings and free minutes," so slanderous. Moonstone01 has been on that site for over 10 years! No running anywhere and very very generous with time and advisement, as can easily be seen in the comments left by other callers. THE NOTE AGAIN ABOUT numerous pleading is so silly, when NO caller has EVER BEEN ASKED TO LEAVE a rating and free minutes are only sent ONCE, after the call and occasionally, when there is a special reason but only to select callers, who have a positive call experience.

The company states the law up front, Caller, from CA, that it is for entertainment purposes only. Something can be gained from most anything in life and having a conversation with someone on keen can offer insight but is it is not math, but a different sort of work and it is the caller's responsibility to read listings and make a decision about how his or her investment in time, treasure and talent be used.

There are regular callers to this advisor for close to 10 years and it can easily be said that if what is alleged here were true, these other people would NOT continue to call.

It is unclear what the CA poster is trying to gain here because keen has a refund policy and to make up information, which has no foundation could get CA poster in big legal trouble, for slander.
