Keith Fowler DBA, NTDD Construction (North Texas Drafting & Design) was hired for a remodeling job on a house in Saginaw, TX, but didn't even finish half of the job before disappearing with all the money. The contract was for a total of $19,500 and was to be paid as follows: 50% upon contract signing, 25% 2 weeks into the job, and the final 25% due upon completion of the job which was to be finished in 4 weeks.


"Keith Fowler" took my $20,000, left me with nothing but a big mess.

I paid the 50% up front and the work began on March 21, 2005, but then Mr. Fowler accelerated the next payment by 8 days and scammed me out of the final payment 11 days later by saying that his daughter was in trouble and he needed to help her. So he was paid in full within 20 days from the start of the work.


"Master Bath" everything in this house is useless.

He strung me along for a total of 9 weeks by showing up 2-3 days per week, always with excuses. He would show up either alone or with just his son, Alex and very, very little progress was being made on the house. Finally, I confronted Mr. Fowler on May 9th about finishing the job so that I could move in, at which time I was assured that the house would be finished by the end of the following week (May 20th). Then he just disappeared. He refused to take or return my many phone calls and finally disconnected his phones altogether, both business and personal cell phone.

For some unknown reason, he sent me an email on May 23, 2005, stating that he had been in the hospital and expressed his willingness to complete the job, so I agreed to meet with him the following day to discuss it. Thinking it was a bad idea to meet with him alone, I asked a couple of the men from my church to attend that meeting with me, which they did, so that Mr. Fowler would not think he could take advantage of me further. However, after that meeting, Mr. Fowler disappeared again and I haven't seen or heard from him since.

What he left me with was a house that has no toilets & no showers, the electric outlets & switches are all hanging out of the walls and the lights are all hanging down from the ceiling, there is no heating or air conditioning system whatsoever, no interior or exterior paint, rotting exterior facia boards and to add insult to injury, 'I think' he stole my brand new stove! So, basically, I'm out almost $20,000 to him and now, I have a house I can't live in.

To add a personal note: Mr. Fowler didn't do this to just a woman, he was also well aware that I am a cancer patient currently undergoing treatments. Also, I have a rent-to-own agreement to buy this house from my daughter-in-law's parents who are retired senior citizens with health issues of their own (she is a wheelchair-bound diabetic who is in dialysis 3 days per week and he has emphysema). Mr. Fowler must have seen us as pretty easy targets and when he realized we didn't have any more money to give him, he just abandoned us!
