Kenmar Papillons, Darla Brobjorg, Carolyn Mills sold me a crippled b***h and another sick male that died a year later. Florence, Colorado

Hi Everyone! Thank you for coming here. This is our story about Roger and Samantha. Two puppies we purchased from Kenmar Papillon's. Carolyn Mills whom I believed and Trusted. After all she did sell us a b***h for $2000.00. We have had her for a while. She had one litter that died. Hum, maybe a pattern here? Well here is my story below.

Roger and Samantha were two puppies I know Carolyn knew were bad for breeding and for pets. I had the right heart to be taken advantage of. I was her way of getting rid of her problems and making a profit at the same time. Here is how I got taken, RIPPED OFF BADLY! This starts with a letter from her informing me of Roger first. Well, this is her email to me.

Here is some picture of the little boy He weights 1 1/2 # he was born Sept 5th. I took him to the Vet for a ck up. His heart is good and he is a strong boy, but he has a soft spot on his head. The vet said it will fill in. She said he was great he was like a preemie baby he is going to be slower to mature. If you want him he would be $ 800. Because of his size. I have his brother. He has too much color but he has the blood line. They both are out of AKC CH Surfer and J LO.

I thanked Carolyn Mills and said that I would send her a check for both dogs $2274.00, I was excited about receiving our new puppies.

Below is our response when Carolyn Mills sent us two puppies on Friday, January 25, 2008 9:43 PM. This was right after we got home from the airport. Our whole family was thrilled and excited and happy thinking that Carolyn did the right thing by us. We loved her and trusted her by all our conversations. We had no Idea this was the beginning of our horrible nightmare. Our whole family was excited when the puppies came.

We were convinced that we were adding wonderful dogs to our breeding program. Carolyn said the little boy had a hole in his head, but it should close. She promised he would make a good breeder. (WRONG) I trusted her (Carolyn) as a professional. Saturday, February 9, 2008 1:06 AM Below is our first letter to Carolyn Mills of KenMar Papillons telling her what our vet said about her puppies shipped to us. Our vet was shocked. Dr. Meekin said Please tell you rescued these puppies. He knew we rescued papillons too. He said send these back now..I was in Shock and dismayed by his reaction. I was ripped off... Here is my letter informing her of Dr. Meekins findings of the two puppies she sent me.

Hi Carolyn,
How are you feeling, I hope your feeling better. I loved talking to your friend. She is very nice. I really want to work this out with you if it's ok. You know I love the puppies to pieces I bought from you. I bought them to breed as you know. Dr. Meekin is down to earth and not a knife happy vet. He is as real as real gets and just like us, loves papillons. When Marilyn came to me she was seen by Dr. Meekin. He checked Marilyn out just like the two puppies. I really trust Dr.Meekin, he is into Papillons and cares a lot about my Papillons. He said that Marilyn was a great breeder and she had perfect knees, he gave me the go ahead to breed her.

Dr. Meekin is one that tells it like it is whether you like it or not. He first looked at Roger that is what Tim named the little guy... The first thing he noticed was his head. He did say that still may heal up as you were told too... He said this would be passed on and it would not be a good ideal to breed him for three reasons. His weight, so thin and his hole on top and one of his testicles are not descended. He said Roger should be nurtured. Tim's and my heart dropped to the bottom of our chests, because we really wanted to breed him. Dr. Meekin said that his t******e staying up will cause him cancer.

The little girl is stage three in both patellas and he showed me told me she would not be a good breeder because she would pass this on as well. What would you like me to do? We really hope you will help us. I want to be a responsible breeder. I want to work with you on a solution. I want to do what is right in the eyes of God, so I can sleep at night. I would feel horrible if I breed them and gave this to someone down the line. Let me know what you want me to do and what are my options are with the babies... Saturday, February 9, 2008:Five hours later Carolyn Mills emailed me back with this response below to our vet check. My mouth hit the floor. I could not believe my ears. I was as shocked as shocked could be. Carolyn Mills had no intention of taking these dogs back because she knew they were bad right from the beginning. Shame on her for being a PCA breeder! She never should of shipped these dogs to us. We are warning as many people as we can to stay away from her. We are in shock to her responses to this day. Below is her response to us.

About the male he has both testicles. I have gotten a hold of both of them and the Vet found both and said boy he can hide that one. If it was going to stay up the cord would be to short and we would never be able feel it. Your vet knows or he should they can pull them up and down until they are older I have seen Judges not be able to feel 2 and they bring the dog out side of the ring and be able feel 2. He should be about 4# dog when he is grown up. You knew about the head and I see no problem breeding him. You told Darla the male puppy was 9 mo. old he was born 9-5-07 he is still a baby .

John mailed your papers yesterday. Darla is waiting on AKC to get them to her. I told you he was going to be slow but just let him grow up he is out of 2 healthy CH and should be a good breeder. I sold him to you for pet price. I am not impressed with your Vet at all. He knows that the knees are not done forming; the puppy has been kept in a puppy pen and did not have time to run and build strength. We have seen lose knees become tight after they have had exercise and are a year old. If you don't want the boy sell him. I would have put it to sleep. He all ready wants to nurtured a little baby puppy. I had his weight up to 2 1/2 ps when he left.

I have a male adult that only weights 4 pounds he is siring beautiful puppies. And he was a slow puppy.He had a hole in his head and it is closed now. I told you he was small so I kept him longer. My Vet in South Dakota said it use to drive him crazy when Vets would start classifying knees at such young age and with only feeling the knee and they should not be messing with there knees before they are set. There growth plates are not even done growing. I offer you his brother but you wanted that puppy I told you all about his weight and his head. And he has both testicles I have felt them and My Vet Did to's Vet just didn't take the time. The female is something you should bring up to Darla. I believe you need to let the puppy grow up and have a lot of exercise. Darla will stand behind her puppy if you lesson to her. Carolyn

Thank you for writing me back. Dr. Meekin is not a breeder that is for sure. He really is a good Doctor but he does not breed and is not a Papillon Breeder as Darla said too. I trust you and know that you would never sell me anything that you would not use to breed. I will give this some time and see. I'm not worried about it now that you have wrote me and shared this information. I just needed to know that this is not something Roger can pass on. Talk to you soon, Love and Hugs Connie

Sunday, February 24, 2008 9:07 AM I wanted to let you know that Roger is in the Hospital. He is having
tests run on him for everything. He was beginning to get sick with diarrhea and vomiting. We have 3 Doctors working with him and are waiting for some test to come back. They are very concerned that he is not gaining weigh and his white blood count is very high even though he is eating better now and pooping soft brown with no blood in the stool.

He is getting IV fluids and antibiotics. This is his second day with our vet. I will let you know what they find. They are suspecting that this may be congenital and has to do with his liver. I will keep you posted. Please pray for him and that they find what is causing his

Monday, February 25, 2008 Roger was put humanely euthanized at all Creatures Animal Hospital and he died in my 13 year olds arms. We cried for days, our whole family suffered great pain so deep. This puppy should have never been sent to us. We have never seen the health Certificate. We have not been given Carolyn Mills vets phone number to talk to him. Roger was replaced. That has been painful too. Please call me for good breeders!

Our whole family was ripped off badly, emotionally, physically, and mentally over this whole deal. The black and white female Samantha is still with us. With no resolve to this day. STAY CLEAR OF THIS BREEDER! Buyer Beware! We believed Carolyn Mills; she knew how bad these dogs were before she shipped them to us. Don't be her next Victim!
