Key Bank Student Loans Parents Beware Nationwide

You think it will never happen to you, but my daughter died for whom I had co-signed a student loan for years ago.  I asked Key Bank and their servicer, AES, for loan forgiveness as my financial situation had changed and I am now retired.  Not only have they never bothered to respond in writing to my requests (including a request directly to the Bank President), they just simply changed the debt over to me.  Other student loan companies do NOT do this (I know, my daughter had other loans, but unfortunately, this is the largest!).  I will be paying this loan until my mid-80's.  You have choices on student loans. Do Not Use Key Bank!
