I recieved a home improvement loan from KeyBank right at ten years ago and from the very beginning till now it's just been one thing after another.  First I was told it would be a 15 yr loan and after signing papers it turned out to be a 20.  I was told that I would not have to make out a separate check for principle that anything over the payment amount would go to principle, so for the first seven month's I paid an extra $100.00/ month.  I realize that the principle was not going down and called them.  They said it was all going to interest and had to make out a separate check.

I have sent them payment checks three or four weeks early and they hold it till due date, to get full interest charges from me is the only reason I can think for holding  payments up.

They have(twice) stop sending me payment coupons and if I would forget about it they would start foreclosure on my house.  I understand it is my responsibility to keep up with my stuff, but no warning, letter or anything and I'm very busy if it's in my bill box I pay it if not I assume it's been paid. I finally caught it after about three month's and paid four month's of interest to stop foreclosure.  Now that the interest is paid off and most of payment should be going to principle they did it again.  When I called they said that bankruptcy law's have changed and that's all they would tell me.  Bank rep gave me phone number to their attorney, who has not answered or called me back.

I pay $160/month and after ten years only 20 or $30 is going to principle per month( is this right for a interest rate of 9%?).  I would try to transfer this loan but they have my credit so screwed up that I can't and after ten years most of it should be going to principle.  Never in my wildest imagination did I ever think I would be going through all this for 20 years over $17,00.00.  They are making it $40,000.00 by the time they are done( 9% should never hit this!), and that's if they don't end up with my house.  Just seem's like legalize loan sharking to me(?)!

I filed bankruptcy in 2009(this is 2013), which had nothing to do with this loan.  I feel like they are taking advantage of loop holes in order to keep me paying them forever or just to get my house.

Every month I have to call them about one charge or another and the answer I always get is that's what the computer says with no further explanation.  By the time I get out of this I will have paid them three times the loan amount plus.

These seem like very shady practices to me and just wonder if any investigation has ever been done on them.  Please help!
