KIRBY COMPANY (VACUUM CLEANERS) Kirby Vaccum Kirby lied and is not worth buying, Internet

In April 2008 I had just been in my new home for about 2 weeks and on a Saturday afternoon I open my door to a man selling Kirby vacuum cleaners. I told him I wasn't interested, but he insisted that he show me how great Kirby is...so I let him in, and he began to set up the equipment and talking all at the same time. He gets the vacuum together and began his demonstration...now like I said I have been in my home two weeks so the carpet is still new...no dirt stains any where, because I don't let people walk on my carpet with shoes on...well any way he begin to vacuum the floor and nothing is coming up but the new carpet sheddings...and then he put the shampooer together...I ask him how long is this going to take he said "o not that long"...so I let him continue and he is asking me what I think...I can't lie I had always wanted a Kirby so in my mind I knew I was going to buy it. Unlike the lady in California my total was $1500 with $500 taken of for the discounts and my old Hoover. My payments was about $89 a month.

Ok here is the lie that Kirby tells to get you buy the machine. They tell how deep it sucks down in your carpet...that it cleans from the bottom up all the way to padding...well to make a long story short they say it practically cleans itself...right! And that it is suppose to be light weight and easy to assemble....yeah right! Anyway after about 6 months I tried the shampooer and I really didn't get the concept of what was going...it put the water and shampoo on the floor but how was it to be sucked back up. The salesman told me if I ever need him to come back out and help with some I forgot during his demonstration to give him a call...well I tried 3 days in a row, but no answer. That was the last time I used the shampooer. And as far as vacuuming the carpet on the....why does my carpet look 10 years old instead of just 2 years....please don't forget no one walks on my carpet with shoes on.

So since Kirby didn't live up to there name and performance I stopped paying on it so now they are suing me or might already have. I did try to call them to get my Hoover vac back but to no prevail.
So people beware of the Kirby salespeople who come a knocking....it's not worth the time or money. You will be very disappointed if you invest any money in it. Be happy with your $80 vac because it is probably better than Kirby.
