Kirby DECEPTION, GREED, AND RIPOFFS Albany Georgia

First off, I have been reading some other reports on this site about the Kirby Company and even though they are all in different locations, its the SAME STORY.

Like the others, I needed a job and saw an ad in the paper. They were advertising for "customer service" positions. I went, and walked into a group interview, which was odd. But I sat through it and at the end, i was told to call back at 4:30 to see if my "application had been accepted". So i called back and was told that it was. I later found out that pretty much everyone was accepted......because a retarded monkey could do the job.

Long story short, I drove an hour everyday to sit through a NON PAID three day training session, only to find out that they had used false advertising to lure people in to work for them. We were told we would be paid 400 dollars a week and would be sent out on company vans to go demo in peoples' homes. I finally got suspicious and came across this site while searching for other peoples' experiences. Lo and behold, everything I read happened.

The company is a complete ripoff and is based on nothing but LIES LIES AND MORE LIES. First, the vacuum is only worth about 350 dollars but we were told to sell them for 2500!When all is financed and done you end up paying a total of over 3000 dollars. ANOTHER lie is the supposed free carpet shampoo. It is supposed to be one room and an adjoining hallway. All tht gets done is about half of one room.

Secondly they do A LOT of false advertising. They have to literally TRICK PEOPLE into working for them! I see ads in the paper (albany herald) all the time saying three different things, with 3 different numbers that all lead back to the SAME OFFICE! They advertise sometimes as new call center looking for people, or customer service reps, or carpet shampoo trainees.

Third, when you get there they tell you the hours are supposedly from 9 to 8 which is a lot to begin with but they drive you two hours away and drop you off at some stranger's house in a neighborhood that you know nothing about! Sometimes you dont get back until 1 am!

All in all, if you are thinking about working for Kirby, DONT DO IT! Take my advice, its a WASTE OF TIME! Get out before you waste time and money because NOTHING good will come of it. Trust me
