Kirt Christensen, Search Engine Geek Took my money, did not give me access to their Web site as promised, and has not responded to any of my commuications. Spokane Valley Washington

I placed my $277 order for one month's membership to this site on Thursday, May 26, 2005. After receiving the confirmation email within minutes, I anxiously awaited my login information so that I could access their search engine research reports.

It's now June 9, 2005 - 15 days, two emails and three phone messages later, and I stil have not received the login information that I was supposed to get "instantly."

I've sent emails to the address listed in my confirmation email, and have also left two messages on the voice mail of the phone number listed in the confirmation email. No response.

I've sent an email to the email address listed in their WhoIs information. No response. I was not able to contact them by phone using the WhoIs information, as both their WhoIS phone and fax numbers are disconnected! (as of June 4, 2005)

Finally, I located a number for the Search Engine Geek himself - Kirt Christensen. I spoke to a woman who identified herself as his wife, and who confirmed I had the "Search Engine Geek" Kirt Christensen. She promised to relay my message to him. That was two days ago. Still no response.

At this point I came to the conclusion that these guys have no product to sell, so I decided to run a Web Position Pro report on searchenginegeek.com to check out their ranking with some major search engines.

Web Position Pro is software that tells you how your site ranks with the search engines for certain search terms. My thinking here was that if searchenginegeek.com really had something to offer, then their own site would be using these methods to secure high search engine rankings for themselves.

I had Web Position look at the following key word phrases:
search engine ranking
search engine research
search engine results
search engine traffic

On the 4 main search engines:

The results?

Z-E-R-O placements for any of the keywords in the top 30 search results for any of the above search engines.

I don't think it's too much to ask of a company that is touting superior search engine optimization technology to get some of its key terms in the top 30.

Summary:
(1) They were efficient at taking my money.
(2) They did not give me the promised instant access to their search engine research.
(3) They have not responded to two emails and three phone calls from me requesting my login information.
(4) Their WhoIS phone number is disconnected.
(5) Some of their key search terms are not in the top-30 of the results returned by major engines.

What do you think of a company that takes your money, does not deliver what they promised, and does not return your phone calls and emails?

Conclusion: I will not be purchasing any product or service promoted by Kirt Christensen or on searchenginegeek.com.
