I am very greatful for the review that I read on KRD from this website and wanted to share an extremely unsettling experience I also had with attempting to secure a position with this company. I warn you not to waste your time with it, but let's start from the beginning.

I applied for a position with this company and was almost immediately given an interview. Of course I was excited and under the impression that this company was actually in the entertainment industry. I showed up for my interview with them and while I was waiting over an hour past my scheduled time, I noticed that there were at least four other applicants that were also present for the interview as well. There should have been two red flags that went off, but I ignored them. Why were there so many applicants? That's normally a sign of poor associate retention. I also should have been wary that in a professional setting, an appointment is something that should not be taken lightly as an employer, because you are dealing with other people's time. In my case, I had to cancel another scheduled interview because it was an over an hour past my scheduled interview time with krd, but I was already at their facility. So I waited...

Once I finally did get called back for the interview, which was conducted by Joel Prendor, one of the partners of this company, immediately more red flags begin to go off. He begins our interaction by informing me about how much money he makes and the fact that his wife had just spent 12,000 dollars too much on a brand new vehicle, which was no big deal to him because of his wealth. Typically if a person is wealthy, they don't need to flaunt that wealth, especially not during an interview where they have kept the applicant waiting for over an hour. He then moves on to give a sales pitch about needing to hire someone on an entry level to replace him. "Are you a risk taker?", he asks as I sit in front of his desk. During this interview he reviewed his business model and did not give any information about what the job actually entailed or the salary/pay scale. As the interview began to wrap up, he informed me that he was going to give me an oppotunity with his company. This opportunity was a second interview that would be from 8:30am to 5:30 pm. At the conclusion of that secondary interview I would be made an offer, if I was still interested. Huge red flag!!! No company requires that you work a day observing for a full day as a requirement for an interview. That's free labor in my book.

As this interview concluded I informed him of my interview with his competitor with was in the same building, he informed me that he would let hem know that I was not going to be attending, because he wanted me for his company. Then went home to do my research on this company and ran across other reports of this company ripping off associates and had a change of heart. I continued interviewing with other companies and was offered a position where the pay, products, and job resposibilies were explained up front. Because I am a proffessional in the business world, I did the right thing and called krd to cancel the second all day interview. I spoke with the receptionist, who is actually really good at what she does, and she very kindly informed me that she understood, and wished me success. I thought that this would be the end of my interaction with KRD, boy was I wrong.

I then received a phone call an hour later that sent me into a rage. Joel Prendor called me on my personal cell phone. As I answer he says,"So I just got into to office and you found out you cancelled your second interview." I then informed him that I accepted a position with another company. He then moves on to state,"I wish that you had told me that you were some who didn't care about getting ahead in life, we're happy with some nine to five job making 30k a year tops, and didn't care to take a risk on success, because if you had I would not have wasted the time setting up a second interview with you." Of course this was extremely offensive, so I sarcastically respond by saying that I was sorry that I inconvenienced his company by applying for employment with him. He the moved on to say," I just want to speak with you man to man and let you know that because you accepted this second interview, you took that oppotunity from another possible candidate. Your actions make my company look unprofessional to have to call a candidate back and offer them another interview." At this point I am angry with the extremely unprofessional interaction. However my anger is overshadowed by the fact that maybe I saved someone from getting sucked into this shady, commission only based job where the employer is not truthful about the job, pay, or reponsibilies expected from the associate.

In conclusion if you are considering working for this company, DON'T! A company is only as stong as it's leader and Joel Prendor is not the type of man to entrust your livelyhood to. And if you don't heed this warning, the only one to blame for your miserable career with KRD Entertainment is yourself.
