Kroger Personal Finance The Kroger Co Prepaid card = worthless piece of plastic, can't use it!!! Cincinnati Ohio

I use a SSH tunnel service (similar to VPN) to protect myself online.  I pay a monthly fee for this service.  I bought a Kroger prepaid Visa card, and loaded it up with cash at a Kroger store.  It was declined every time I tried to use it to pay for my SSH service.

I called the customer service # listed on the prepaid card, and they tell me that since the company I am trying to pay is in the UK the card won't work?!  Then why don't you put that on your packaging so people don't buy a worthless pieces of plastic?  Why did I waste my time and my money on this when I can't even use it to make my purchase?!

To me this is tantamount to fraud.  If you take someone's money but then turn around and say, woops, you can't use your card, what else is that?

I will NEVER shop at Kroger again, and will be filing a complaint with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency in Washington D.C.
