So there I was, investigating my bank account that dropped suddenly, when I saw it--another collection agency, no doubt--but it would have been nice if they had asked me if they could debit my account for whatever they are collecting on (no contact from them, so I don't even know if it's a legitimate debt, or just some legal staff with too much time on their hands--I'm leaning on the former, but can't be too sure!)
This "surprise" could NOT have come at a worse time for me--all of the collection agencies I HAVE dealt with were understanding when notified of my sudden disability (****** MS flareups) which has gone on for two months as of today.

I am wondering that myself! I highly doubt the original biller would have transferred that info along with it-or my account could have been otherwise compromised. I had another collection agency once accept an automated pay plan, then disregard the agreement and debit the agreed upon monthly amount three days in a row-and had I not called on the third day, since my email the second day was disregarded, I believe they would have continued to do so. Medical bill collections is, from my experience, obviously a dishonest and crooked business.
