Kurt D. Miller, MD Rudest staff, staff is incompetent with insurance issues, doctor refuses to follow up with insurance to obtain authorization for prescribed medicine without paying for more doctor visits Mission Viejo California

I think Dr. Kurt Miller's staff, especially "Lucy" are rude and dismissive.  They appear to me to be incompetent when dealing with insurance issues.  None of them seems to know what the other is doing or what information they have in their files.  Dr. Miller suggested I use a prescription medicine which I later found out costs over $200.00 per month and then his staff gave me the run around when I begged them to have Dr. Miller speak to my insurance carrier to obtain coverage.  I was first told by his staff that Dr. Miller did speak with my insurance carrier, and then told by his staff that Dr. Miller does not speak to insurance carriers.  I was also told by one staff member that she lied to my insurance carrier about my medical history when discussing coverage for this medicine!!!  Isn't that a breach of ethics?  Then I was told that Dr. Miller will do nothing more to help me get insurance coverage for the medicine he prescribed to me unless I pay for more doctor visits with him.  I am stunned.  Aren't physicians supposed to "do no harm"? I think Dr. Miller's medical practice is adversely affected by the people he has working for him.
