Kyolic sells odor-free garlic aged garlic extracts that are advertised as lowering cholesteral and blood pressure, increasing circulation, improving cardiovascular health and immune health, etc. In order for a garlic supplement to improve health in these areas, it has to have a high content of allicin. Allicin is found in crushed and finely chopped uncooked garlic. The problem is that Kyolic's supplements are cooked, which rids the garlic almost entirely of allicin content; therefore, the garlic found in these supplements cannot possibly improve health in these areas. If you carefully read the contents found in the supplement, a consumer will see there is no allicin in the supplements. In addition, for a garlic supplement to be effective that has allicin in it, it needs to have an enteric coating, or it should digest in the intestines and not the stomach. Their supplements also do not have this coating.
