On 7-16-01 I had gone to Arlington, TX. to visit my sister, and my clutch went out on my 1995 Ford-150 pickup. I called around trying to find a shop to take my truck in because I had to return to Kalamazoo to go to work. So I happened to come across Cottman's Transmission, I called and spoke with a man named Lynn.He told me no problem, they could tow my truck in and it would cost $550.00. So I said ok!!!

After they tow my truck in I receive a call from Lynn and he saids we have your on the lift and its going to cost you $895.38 to replace the clutch and slave cylinder. What could I do but to pay the bill because I needed to go home to work. They call about 2:00 that afternoon and my truck is ready. So Lynn comes to pick me up and I take him back to the shop and pay my $895.38. My daughter and I leave for Kaiamazoo and the gear shifter is like just to easy to change gears. Well around the 7-19-01, THREE DAYS later I could take my gear shift and throw it up to the dash!!!!

I call Cottman's in Arlington,Tx.I am very upset. Because for on thing I was told $550.00, then they change the price to $895.38. I'm not to happy and plus my only way to go is broke down because they did not repair my clutch correctly!!!! So I'm told to call the closest Cottman's here in Cedar Park, Texas.

So I call and I talk to Bob and we get into a screaming match over the telephone. Anyway they come out and tow my truck to the shop and about an HOUR N HALF later Bob calls my truck is ready. I'm told that they can't come and pick me. Mind you I do not have another vehicle. I have to call a taxi $18.00 to pick up my truck. So I call the Cottman's in Arlington, TX and talk with Lynn and he told me that he would reimburse my $18.00. I received that back but I continue to have problems with my clutch, they said they had resurfaced the fly wheel but my little old clutch would chatter backing up and in first gear!

The reason for the first time out of Arlington shop 3 days after the first clutch was put in my truck. Bob told me it was just a"SILLY BOLT" that wasn't tighten down!!! What the H____!!!!!

So I called Bob back in Cedar Park, Texas. And I told him my clutch was still chatterring. He supposebly replaced the clutch but it still continued to chatter.So this is there second clutch going into my truck.I'm told by Bob that the Arlington Shop reimbursed the monies I had paid to their shop for the second clutch because my clutch was still under warranty.

I took my truck back (4 more times) Bob is no longer working there. I'm told they cannot duplicate the problem. So now what am I'm suppose to do! Suck it up and drive on!! H____ No!!

I want my hard earned money back. Also I finally found a shop that put in a clutch the way it was suppose to operate.

So I have turned them into the Attorney General that didn't work and also I turned them into the Better Business that didn't work.

Because if a business is a member of the Better Business they don't do anything to the company.

So I filed small claims. That didn't work. So now I'm taking them to a higher court. I want my money BACK!!!!!
