Buyers beware, Kevin Reed of LaReed Shepherds recieved a deposit from me for a newborn puppy. Days later he was trying to pressure me into giving him the remaining balance via threats of giving my pick to someone that was willing to pay in full prior to receiving the puppy. Communication got out of control as he tried to get more money. Excuses from needing the money for xmas gifts to needing the money for bills to needing it bc a friend was ill... initially Reed said he did not release pups prior to en weeks old but because he wanted the money sooner he told me I had to get my puppy at 5 weeks old. After driving 1+hour to get the puppy on the agreed upon date Reed informed me that he did not have the AKC papers. He stated he had sent off for the akc registration. However AKC confirmed that Reed had not submitted for the litter registration. He later informed me that he submitted for the registration after lying about it. After a tremendous amount of drama, and unheard of vaccination practices, I asked for a refund of the deposit. Reed refused. I informed him that I would be submitting all texts and filing a civil suit. He welcomed me to do so.... He was served at his job as his physicall adress had already changed twice. Reed failed to respond within the court appointed time resulting in finding in my favor. He is now somewhat on the run avoiding the situation he caused. Do not trust this man... He is a scam artist and will not provide what he says he will. I have come into contact with two other individuals that have had similar experiences of being ripped off by this criminal.

Days after giving the deposit, he began trying to get me to pay the remaining amount. He threatened to give my pic to anyone that was willing to pay in full. Arguments went back and forth. He initially told me he did not let pups go until 8 weeks old but later wanted me to get the pup at 5 weeks old. When I went to get the puppy (1+ hour drive), he waited untill I arrived to tell me he did not have the akc papers. He told me they had been applied for, but AKC confirmed that he had in fact NOT applied for the akc litter registration.Upset by this blank trip I asked for a refund. He refused to give me a refund and communication got nasty... I informed him that I would be filing a civil suit
