I paid to have a stamped concrete patio installed/Epoxy of Garage which paid the upfront charges of materials. Larry Hurst received the money and layed out the patio to nothing I had designed. Paid for a 900 SQft patio and he formed up a 10x14. I had to form the patio myself. After months of trying to get him to get the stones and concrete layed there was always an excuse saying he was sick or either had family problems. He had destroyed the yard, made huge holes in my garage, tore up my sprinkler system and I have not heard from him since and the company has never returned my calls. Not licensed, bonded or insurred which he states on his website and has false documents.

I'm another victim of Larry. He is a drug addict and will do this to anyone "elderly" to get his fix. Do not trust anything that he says. The proposal and price sounded great leading me to hire Larry. Thiss isn't something new for Larry he has been doing this for years and has gotten very good at deceiving people. Q

Wish I found this site/complaint earlier! Hopefully this story helps others before it's too late!
In late spring, I found Larry thru his website www.blconcrete.com
At first, he was very proactive - came out met with me several times, surveyed the job site, sent examples of materials, provided proof of insurance, etc. Everything that would make you believe he is a legit.
Once the deposit was made and the start date passed, the excessive excuses came. Truck broke down. Crew quit. Tools are at another job site. Couldnt get a piece of equipment rented. On and on and on. So bad that the neighbor behind us had a patio installed, ripped out (due to poor set up) and re-installed during the same time Larry claimed the ground was too wet, etc.
After several weeks of excuses, I finally terminated him and requested a refund of my deposit. Ever since, he has been unreachable.
I filed and won a small claims court judgment (Larry was a no show). Now I am in the process of trying to recoup deposit and court costs. Jason, woudl love to connect with you to learn how you get your issue resolved.

Beware! Larry Hurst has changed his number and company again to B&L Construction & Concrete. Same person and same company. if you go to the previous website it will redirect you to the new website which is http://www.blconrete.com this is the same company and he will take your money and walk away. Please read my report from above. I have won a decision in small claims court and working through the system to collect. Address he has listed is still incorrect and goes to a building with nothing there.
