Larry Slote contracted to install a generator - his fee included filing necessary permits and preparing the site location for installation. The contract was signed in January 2021 with a target date of 4/15. He continued to state the permits were being held up by Palm Beach Gardens due to the pandemic. He also was supposed to file paperwork with my HOA. After six months of patience, I called the HOA. They had nothing.

Larry then said in June he had received the permits, was filing with the HOA snd the unit would be installed by 7/2 with a final inspection date of 7/6. It was when I demanded Certificates of Insurance from all workers doing the trenching, gas line installation electrical work, site preparation and generator movement that Larry told me "I broke him” and he was abandoning the project.

Subsequently I found out no permits had been filed and he actually was attempting to illegally install this unit. I got a lawyer who will be serving him with papers. However, I will be filing a police report on my return to Florida in mid October. This man is a crook, thief and a fraud. He passes himself off as a nice, ethical caring guy and he is a nasty, incompetent bully in reality. Stay away from this loser at all coasts.
