On December 28th, 2014, I received information from Google Plus that if I particpate in an online survey, that I would be entitled to receive a free gift.  That, was just a clever marketing strategy.  The problem is that the free gift that I selected was to try out a new skin care product called, "Lavish Skin."  I just had to pay shipping and handling.  I also purchased the shipping and handling to try out an eye cream called, "Derma Bright."  In a pop up, for terms and conditions, I clicked yes to the terms and conditions only after reading, "NO RISK."   My mistake!  Lavish Skin and Derma Bright are not brand worthy names that can be trusted.  In the fine print, the consumer "clicks," to agree to believing that the brand companies are true to their no risk guarantee and "clicks," without realizing or reading (in fine print) that the consumer only has 14 days to cancel their order and failure to do so within the 14 days would create a charge of $89.73 to be auto charged via an auto shipment.  The terms and conditions also in fine print also indicate that the consumer trial of 14 days begins not when the consumer receives the product but on the very day that the consumer orders their sample product.  That gives the consumer about 10 days to try out their sample product.  Most companies with excellent reputation and brand names allow a risk free money back 30 days guarantee.  My credit card got charged the $89.73, and I had to explain that I trusted their company and didn't read their fine print in the Lavish Skin terms and conditions prior to paying shipping and handling.  My eyes puffed up after utilizing their skin care products.  I would never purchase Lavish Skin or Derma Bright from this company as their ingredients are more than likely knock off ingredients and not up to par with standard industry of ways of conducting business.  I was able to receive 75% back from the amount charged.  I was told to receive the full refund would require me going to the Post Office and returning the same products along with a RMA number provided to me over the phone.  I opted to receive 75% back as I am busy.  I told the Lavish Skin Customer Service Agent that if the fine print located in the terms and conditions is that important to be followed, then the fine print needs to be made in bold next to where the customer "clicks."   I think this company with a poorly made product relies upon the average consumer trusting and not reading the terms and conditions.  I told the Customer Service Agent of Lavish Skin that I knew that I wasn't the only customer that he had this conversation with.  In fact, I got the impression from the way that the Customer Service Agent was instantly able to read the terms and conditions that this was a regular routine of the Lavish Skin Customer Service Agent's job.  I learned a valuable lesson.  Always read the terms and conditions and that way, after experiencing a poorly made product, I would have known I was expected to cancel the auto shipement on or before 14 day trial had ended.
