Hi I was a client of Roni Deutch back in 2010, I had a tax liabity to the IRS for $9970.00 and instead of calling the IRS to make a reasonable plan I called Roni Deutch. I was talked to by a good rep that totally convinced me that this was my best choice IRS doesnt help us and they can guarantee a lower liabity. So i was able to pay $262.50 for 10 months with 500 down. I did just that. In less then a year I received a notice for an offer in compromise to the IRS for $20.oo, i was concerned but figurered they are attorneys they know more then i do. So now the OIC is accepted and I was told several times this is neve accepted the first time around i was VERY LUCKY.  So of course i was told to sign papers where they would highlight and mail me what i need. I did just that, i paid each month and did and signed everything never EVER thinking i was being screwed.

Well now this was settled finally. So as of March 2011 the IRS settled and i was ALL SET. So I Thought....

now i file taxes for 2011 and for once in my 17 years of workign and paying taxes i get a refund of $6858.00 of course the IRS takes this and states your liability for $9970.00 is still open and the OIC clearly states we have full rights. I was on the floor, i got screwed so i paid almost $3000.00 for her to do nothing because now the IRS is still taken all my money. WHAT IS THE POINT of a stupid OIC.

now i am trying to get my refund back from her since the IRS wont budge. I have been through everything fo rhelp and ther eis NONE out there.

please be careful always call IRS first.

DESPERATE mom lookking for HElp and revEnGe.

I would get an attorney...Roni B Deutch has all kinds of commercials where I live. I would and will not ever hire a lawyer I see on tv. But take the statements provided be the response above mine . You have all your evidence...plus your bank statements , ect. Guarantee she is living high on the hog so to speak while your struggling. Her and the Rob from Triad are probably living together. Anyway get your info...get a real lawyer...get it straightened out. Best of luck to you!!!!!!!!

In August 2010, the sitting California Attorney General (now Governor) Jerry Brown filed suit against Deutch, accusing her of airing misleading advertisements about her services and engaging in heavy-handed sales techniques to pressure potential clients. Included in the allegations were charges that Deutch's firm not only did not provide the services promised to clients but that she refused to refund fees.

The Attorney General revealed that, as of April 5, 2011, Deutch had allegedly admitted that her firm had outstanding refund requests that had been on the books for more than 60 days, and which totaled more than $435,000.An additional order was issued in August prohibiting Deutch from destroying any evidence related to the case. According to the current attorney general of California, Kamala D. Harris, however, Deutch began shredding documents immediately. The attorney general's office alleges in its complaint that Deutch shredded nearly 2,000 pounds of the firm's documents, or about 200,000 pages the day after the order was issued. Harris estimates that to date, Deutch has shredded at least 1.5 million-plus pages of documents -- and potentially many more.

I don't know what to tell you except to consult a Tax Attorney although it might seem to late (but no harm finding some advice).  I wish you the best of luck.
