I was contacted by Liberty Benefits Company by a Rep named JoAnn. She informed me that I was pre-approved for a credit card at that point I asked her how that was possible. She informed me that the company would co-sign for me to recieve a credit card with a limit of 2500 dollars.

I then asked the following questions "Is this a real credit card or a catolog card" her answer was it is a real credit card not a catolog card. She said it would arrive two weeks after they took the 299.99 payment that was on Jan 7th 2005. I asked her again if it was credit card and she again said yes and even asked me if I wanted a Visa or MasterCard. She informed that with my credit card I would also revcieve a coupon for a computer and some other things. I told her I did not want them and she said that is okay you don't have to use them.

My husband was at home durning this phone call so I put him on the phone to talk to her as well. He asked the same questions with a couple more and JoAnn told him as well that it was a credit card, not a catolog card and we would not have to pay anything else but the 299.99 and that was it. That would cover the card the annual fee for as long as we had the card and the proccessing fee. She told him that the company was co-signing for the card. She also told us that when we got the card we could take the 299.99 off the card as a cash advance and then pay it back in monthly payments.

After two weeks the card never showed up so I called the number on my bank statement got a totally different company called Billing Pro and they gave me the customer service number to Liberty Benifits group. I then called them and finally spoke with a man by the name of Rick James. He informed me it was not a credit card that was coming but a package and it would come the middle of the first week in Feb. I then told him what JoAnn had told me and he asured me he would check into and he was sorry for problem.

While speaking with Rick I was also told that I could not recieve my money back until I recieved the package and then two day later a manila envolope in the mail. He then informed that when I filled out the credit app that I would have to pay yet another fee. I then told him I asked that question when I spoke with JoAnn and she said no. He then again told me he was sorry and that she would be fired or repromaned.

I finally recieved this packaged and looked through it and of course there was no credit card not even an application. There was however a piece of paper for a cash card with a master card sing on it. Needless to say I was livid. I called back and again spoke with Rick James and he informed again I had to wait for the other piece of mail which should be there in two days.

After four days I called back and again talked to the same person. I informed him this was not what was told to me I wanted my money back. He said he would have to put in request for me to get my money back. I told him I am not requesting my money back your comapany lied and I want my money back. He told me all he could do was put in the request and wait five business days and call back.

I called back in Five days only to hear that the request came back blank to call back after 10am on Feb 16 2005. So I did and got a girl by the name of Maria Gonalez. I aked her what the status of my request was and she said they denied it because I was told about what I was getting it was recorded. I told her no I did not I wanted my money back and again she said no.

For the next ten minutes I conitiued to arguee wtih this person about my money. I finally asked to speak with a supervisor and she informed me there was no supervisor there she would take my name and someone would call me back after business hours. I then I have worked before and every comapany has a floor supervisor and again she said no I was not allowed to talk to one.

So then I told her well you just lied to me. First you say there is no supervisor and now you say I can't talk one. Which is it and she again said there was no supervisor there. She asked if there was anything else she could help me with and I told her yes I want to speak with a supervisor again she said no. I told her I know there I know there is someone there over her head and she said yes. I told her I wanted to speake with that person and again she said no they will call you after business hours.

I finally hung up with this so called customer service person and began to cry. I still have this package with everyting still in it. I even told them I would send it back and they told me no to that as well.

I do not think it is fair that these company's can get away with this and take people's money and not have to pay the price. They feed on poeople with little, no or bad credit and lie about a credit card. When are these company's going to have to pay the price for lieing to people and steeling from them
