   I got my first express toll bill for my van in the mail about a month ago.  When i went online, I thought it would just be easier to set up an account. I entered my information and this message displayed,

"More than one account was found for the given details. Please contact the ExpressToll Service Center at (303) 537-3470 or for out-of-area 1 (888) 946-3470."

   I contacted Express toll, and they asked if I had another car.  I said yes, gave them the make and model,  informed them that I did not, and had never had an account and inquired about why I would have received that message.  They said it was because of my other vehicle and that the DMV has my address listed as an address from 2009.  I replied, well that can't be because they send my regestration renewal notices to my current address, and have been since i moved there in October of 2010.  They informed me of a past due balance of $36 dollars asked me to prove that my car was regestered at my current address by faxing over copies of my last 5 years of registrations.  The only one I still had was my 2013-2014, so I faxed that and my Driver's lisence which had been renewed in 2012 and also had my current address.

    I paid the toll for my van and after a couple emails, express toll stopped responding, this was May 28th. In June, I received, first a late charge for the bill for my van that I paid, and second a bill for my car from a toll back in April.  So now I know that they have my address for both vehicles.  I don't think I went through a toll in my car in april.  i called to inquire about the late charge for the van they told me to disregard it, if I paid it.  I said I paid it over the phone with your office.  They replied," then disregard it."  Then then said is there anything else/  i forgot to ask abot the april bill for my car.  

   Today i received a late charge for that toll and called their office. i said I needed to pay my tolls and that I wanted to start an account.  They walked me through how the process works, told me of my now $46 dollar bill and asked if I lived on Inca. I said No and then they told me about the $200 in late fees and civil penelties that I must pay as well.

    I was blown away.  I have been in contact with their office now 3 times in the last month and this is the first time I hear of these charges.  Why were they not sent with my last bill?  That makes no sense.  Once they had my correct address, would't they send the bill right away? Not send 2 other billes with no mention of this $36 dollar principle or $200 interest.  I asked for the records of my unpaid tolls and the photos taken at the booths.      They said I could have the records but that I could not see the pictures.  I have to prove that I updated my regestration for every year after their system was proved to be wrong for this year, but they have to provide me with no proof that It was me that used the toll roads? What would happen If I just started billing them for something that i say they owe me for and then reported them to the credit bureaus. 

    Now I'm mad!  I say I will fight it, if you can't prove it.  I was told that I would then have court costs because if the bill I have has my license then all the others are mine as well.  I said then I won't pay that bill and then have never paid an express toll for that license. She said ok, and i asked for my records again, she sent them with no pictures of me, my plates or my vehicles.  

So I start to study the dates.  May 14 2012 That was the Saturday before mother's Day.  I'm a chef and was working 18 hour days that week and defenetly did not use a toll road. then 1/10/13 and 1/7/13 I didn't use tolls those days either.  But in October 2012 I went to Florida and defenitly used the tolls, nothing in 10/12.  So what is going on?  About 2 years ago I got a friend request on Facebook from someone with my same name even same middle initial, who said he almost deposited money in my bank account.  

How do I obtain pictures of the tolls I allegedly went through? When will i receive a bill for the tolls? All I have is a report. Why do I have a bill in my hand for $5 for the I25 toll and have no record of that toll in the report with charges as recent as 6/1/14

Resolved express toll

The situation was resolved 2 days after I filled out this report with 1/2 of the documents they originally demanded.

This was done via email not over the phone.  I think that the folks they chose to speak to angry customers are chosen because they are real good bulls$#@ers.  For anyone in the same boat, try the email approach first. IDK may be easier.
