Lifesafer Interlock Incorporated Batteries Dying using this product Blue Ash Ohio

My nephew is paying the stiff but necessary price for driving under the influence. Although I agree with the concept of the product of the Lifesafer, I believe there are some unsolved issues with the current product which is on the market and being used today. Originally everything seemed fine with the unit, after learning how to use it however within a few weeks he was unable to start the car.

It was dead, the battery was dead. It had to be towed to be checked. The towing was about a 30 mile tow in snowy weather, just after the holidays. The shop, after looking at the battery said the battery was bad. The battery was a little over a year old.

After a new battery was purchased at the shop, everything seemed fine for awhile. Two months has gone by and now the Lifesafer unit is acting up again. It has made my nephew sit and wait for a half an hour before actually starting the car. That was yesterday. Today it died again and had to be towed back to the shop.

Another tow bill. Another dead battery? We shall see!

Something is not right here. I have read several reviews with several others having the same kind of problems. The tow bills and the batteries, not to mention shop charges (if we get charged). Are adding up. Why do we have to pay these extra expenses just to be able to do the right thing? I believe this company may have a faulty product and may need some investigating. This car NEVER broke down before installation of this product.
