Lifestyle Holidays Escrow Agency Withholding money for cancelled upgrade contract "00-5108 upgrade" Puerto Plata Dominican Republic

I visited the Dominican Republic in November 2007 and while there, visited the Lifestyle Resort in Puerto Plata.

Lifestyle staff showed me and my penthouse, led us to believe we were purchasing the penthouse by referring to it during all the negotiations as a penthouse but sold us a 2 bedroomed suite. We were advised that the per person per night rates by the sales staff were US$26.00 for the penthouse and US$40.00 for the villa which, upon signing of the contract, were all subsequently increased.

We were approached to upgrade to the villa and left an open voucher to the value of US$1300 just in case we decided to go ahead but it was always understood that this was not agreed in principle. My party and I decided we did not want to go ahead with the upgrade and despite numerous emails, Lifestyle continue to withhold this money for the aborted upgrade.

Maya Thangarajah also advised that I would be sent an RCI Welcome Pack and a Member's Certificate from Dr. Jesus Garcia Tallaj but neither of the aforementioned documents confirming this membership have been received.
