 Received a letter today stating I owed money for court fees in a state. The date it shows is 4 years past the statutes of limitations. Was very puzzled by this letter as I am a good law abiding citizen and take care of any court matters that I have ever had. But I know not to contact them as this somehow gives them a right to go after you once you do and is best not to if you know it is a fraudulant bill. My question is can I sue them for defacing my name when this is past the statutes of limitations?
