Living Spaces Irvine Living Spaces Tried to wear me down Irvine ca

I bought 2 beautiful recliners about 4 months ago....these were the motorized type where one pushes the button on the side to raise and lower to recline. They go in the middle of the room so we also bought the battery packs to charge so there wouldn't be a cord plugged into the wall across the room all of the time.

All the information and warranted paperwork that came with it and that was advertised and told to us claimed the battery last approx 300 cycles of up and down or approx 3 months by normal use. After charging it the overnight suggested and the charge lite being green which meant fully charged, 2 weeks later the battery on both recliners, even though my wife uses hers much more than I, were dead.

I figured perhaps a flook so I did the same thing again and 2 weeks, approx, later, dead again. I called and living spaces told me they would send out 2 new batteries in exchange which they did in good order. The exact same thing happened again. I called and they said they would bring out 2 more batteries. I told them why will this be any different but they said this is their procedure.

The same exact thing happened again going now on this adventure approx 7 weeks but, thinking they would eventually do something about it, I went with their suggestions. I called again. They sent out a tech guy which knew exactly what was going on. He said the normal range was 18 to 30 cycles, not 300 and he has run into this before with many of these battery recliners because all the models took the same batteries...I had to call about a week later as no one called me as was told to me by the tech.

About a week later they sent me a letter that I would have to come in with my batteries and they would see about giving me a more powerful battery. At this point, with the current battery barely fitting into the back of the chair with some lousy velcro supplied, and after a few time reclining, the battery fell out of the back of the chair onto the floor again with all the wires needed to charge on the floor also. At this point I didn't want a bigger battery sitting on my floor in back of each recliner and we originally bought the battery pack so we would'nt have to see these things on the floor and tripping over them.

I have gone now back and forth with our credit card company and it has come to now being told that the burden of proof is on me and I would have to prove by getting a second opinion from someone that knows batteries and how long they would last with this amount of power or cycle. This is near impossible as even persons weight would be involved. We are not big people and this is a clear case of false advertising, written, advertised and verbally told to us in the showroom.

According to the tech, I am not the only one taken in by this and I feel that all of this battery exchange and time is just to wear down the customer to the point of accepting false advertising I tried 3 times to upload the battery paper with my comments that shows the guarantee statement but got a "failed to load" each time...Finally by clicking 3 stars instead of one, I was able to upload comments and picture proof of battery warranted Jack.
