localticket.com, Galexy Tickets, Ticket Tracker.com False advertising and rip-off prices far exceeding value, possibly illegal sales Connecticut

These interelated companies are all in the business of providing tickets for concerts. The venue where the concert we attended was held says on its web site that it is illegal to resell tickets to its events. Unfortunately a member of our party mistook one of these companies as a legitimate partner of the venue handling ticket sales. Big mistake. THe ticket prices were outrageous far above the face value plus handling charges. E-mails from the vendor guaranteed the tickets would arrive in time for the concert. Guess what. They called right before the concert and said no dice. They couldn't get the all the tickets we ordered and paid for. We had to scramble for worse seats through a legitimate venue. The two tickets they did provide did not have pricing and were outrageously expensive. They did refund money for the tickets they could not procure.  

At this point any legitimate company would have wanted to make things right. Not these folks. Each one pointed the finger at the other and in the end they said it was too bad. They refunded money for the tickets them promised but couldn't procure but made no attempt to right their many other wrongs.

They have the "sorry you are screwed script" down pretty well. I am hoping that this report and others will get the Conneticut and Texas attorneys general to get moving on these folks.
