Three years ago I had their furnace model: Lochinvar Knight Boiler with Mega-Stor MS 40 Indirect water heater installed in a property I own in Hancock, Michigan. It was installed by Bob's Sheet Metal on 2/5/2008. When the boiler failed, a professional engineer noted several problems in installation which Bob's has refused to address. We contacted Lochinvar and they responded but ultimately nothing was done and we're stuck paying for an $8,000 boiler that has cost us over $2000 more to have re-installed correctly.

The furnace might be top quality, but since Lochinvar seems to sell to anyone regardless of installation expertise, your furnace might cost you even more if your installer doesn't know what he's doing.

Maybe Lochinvar needs to take a closer look at who is installing their equipment if they want the quality of their *very expensive* boilers to show.
