I contacted Lois Hancock regarding a puppy I had seen online that she had for sale. She for some reason did not want me to come to their property and see where the puppy came from, which I should have seen as a red flag. After I met her I purchased the puppy right then. She was dirty and smelled bad but I wasnt too worried about it.
After arriving home I noticed she has a genital deformity that i had never seen before so I took her to the vet and to their surprise they had never seen anything to this extent before either. The vets at the animal hospital contacted the Purdue University Vetrinary department and spoke with them regarding the situation, and all three of the vets have advised me she will need surgery and will possibly need quite a bit of treatment before she is old enough to have the surgery done.
I let Lois know what was going on, however her only solution was to exchange the puppy. My vets office said an ethical breeder should be willing to refund 50-100% of the cost of the puppy due to the need for surgery.
Long story short, I am keeping the puppy with no assistance from the breeder and after spending some time researching her repputation I have found out she runs an inhumane kennel or puppy mill as some call it. The animals are dirty, have no room, and are very sick.
Some of the stories I have read talk about their puppies dying within a couple of days of purchase! I just want to warn anyone looking for a puppy about Lois Hancock. She is running a puppy mill and will sell you sick puppies!!! AVOID FOUR PAWS KENNEL AT ALL COSTS!

Hi Tracey,
I just recently purchased a puppy from this woman and had to end up taking her to a rescue because she was too ill for me to care for her but I obviously was not going to return the puppy to that disgusting woman.
I was just curious how this situation ended up. I truly pray that you won and shined some light on how corrupt Lois Hancock/Miller is.

I ALSO PURCHASED A PUPPY FROM LOIS HANCOCK. could you email me a.s.ap. i could use your help .my name is tracey i live in terre haute in. lois lied i sent a check to hold puppy.i picked up the puppy paid her cash.she said my check and reciept was in folder with all the puppies info.but she did not she lied to me.so of course i called and called the check.she had charges filed on me for theft she said i did not pay her..so i have to be in court monday dec.1 2008.so if you could call me i am facing a felony charge for theft...my lawyer has a copy of your report about your situation with lois. thanks

Have you contacted the local animal control division to see if they have inspected and/or investigated these people for animal cruelty/neglect?
If not, please do so!!!
